We chose this motel because it was close to The Hopewell Rocks. Great location. Our room was 1950's vintage it was clean and in good repair. It was just like the rooms I stayed in with my parents when we traveled in the 50's. The owners are very friendly. We made a mistake on our arrival date and they kindly gave us a room and didn't charge us for the missed reservation. You couldn't ask for more. Note the trunk was only five steps from the door, very senior friendly.

It was an average place to stay. We stayed hear because it was close to the rocks but in retrospect we would have visited the rocks and proceeded on our way. The business is run by a family and they were very friendly and we had some great conversations.

We chose to stay at this moel because it was close to Hopewell Rocks and the location was excellent. It is only about 1 km away, though easier to drive than walk. We went to the park one day at low tide and walked along the sea floor and then were able to be back at the park at 8am the next morning as the park opened to see the rocks at high tide, and back to the motel for breakfast, before it finished at 9am. We had a room in the "adult building" - a pleasant room with veranda outside with a lovely view. One of the few hotel/ motel rooms I have been to which provide TWO armchairs in the room - usually one of us has to make do with an upright chair. Continental breakfast in the motel was OK, as was dinner in the adjoining restaurant (though disappointed to find it does not have a liquor licence).

Checked in over the phone. Arrived late afternoon on a Thursday. Checked out Saturday morning. Check in went smoothly. Room was ready for us but not very clean. Large cobwebs....dust...hair in tun and on bathroom floor. Red spots (looked like blood) on carpet outside bathroom. No knobs on air conditioner..had to have on full blast or unplug. Cheapest plastic cups I've ever seen int he room. Only ice was at the reception desk, and only available until 8:30 pm. Free continental breakfast was a total joke - although the coffee was good. TV reception was poor to medium. No phone in room. WAY over priced. We did have a good room location, nice view. Entire place needs a good cleaning. Has potential but seems to be neglected. Would NOT stay there again, would NOT recommend it. (did not use the outdoor pool)

Room Tip: Facing the water. Upper level in "adult" building

Way too overpriced for 1970s worn shag in a basement unit. We payed $110....a hole, but clean. Our wifi password did not work, I booked a queen, but was given a double in the basement units. Worn! Worth $50!
