“A slice of history here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2012

I had passed by this museum many times and had not gone in until today. As we parked, my sister said that we'd be done in 1/2 hour. Nope. We were there 1 1/2 hours and could have spent longer. Granted, we have ancestors on one of the maps from the mid-1800's, so that made it perhaps more interesting but I would still recommend it.
I foolishly had thought that the museum was really small, just the building that says "open". Not at all. That's where you pay but the whole thing actually has 7 other buildings, other artifacts, lots of history, and lots to see.
The buildings and museum itself are very well done and the person who took us around and explained things was terrific. The only reason we had to cut our visit a bit short was due to a train we had to catch.
We'll be back!
