“Good Day Trip, but not on the revisit list.”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

Went up for a day trip with a friend; it was neat to see how the first family lived! Once you gone once, you don't need to go back again.

Pros: The grounds were beautiful, Good History, Couple nice hiking trails, Staff was nice.
Cons: Staff were either too enthusiastic or did not care... Interpretation Programs were okay.

Recommendations for future travelers: Check out the island, there are some really nice waysides and hiking trails!

“History at its best”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

We liked the vast amount of history in the cottages. It helped making the Roosevelts alive. I disliked the overt propaganda.

“Nice Tour with a Great water view. No wonder FDR choose this location.”

2010 - - Step back in time to visit the vacation home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. When leaving Lubec Maine we took the bridge over to visit Campobello Island and the Roosevelt cottage and grounds. Be sure to stop at the information center to gather lots of history. Also visit the Mulholland Point Lighthouse and see the sea otter as they are plentiful. And the East Quoddy Head Lighthouse at the far side. A little more difficult to get to.

Reviewed January 3, 2014

A visit to this place is a must for people who are interested in history, and will enjoy the beauty of the area as well. The guides at the cottage are very helpful, and visiting here is an opportunity to feel part of history. Joel Schwartz

“Amazing”

This is an amazing piece of history you have got to see. Just a short trip across the Canadian border, onto Campobello Island.
