Informative guides...great history of FDR...the grounds are immaculate. The "nature area" was not worth the drive on the 8 miles of gravel roads through the woods. Boring.

I have done the tea twice and both times it was simply excellent. Twenty lucky people can get free tickets at the information center for either the 10am or 2pm seating (EDT) in a charming room in the beautifully restored and maintained Hubbard House. There you will be served wonderful tea and delicious cookies on hand crocheted table clothes with linen napkins and lovely tea service. It feels quite elegent though you can come as you are, everyone does. But the real treat is the women who talk about Eleanor Roosevelt, her life, her accomplishments, her influence on her husband and on the country itself during her life time. Carolyn in particular is full of stories of Eleanor she loves to tell. She is an excellent story teller and knows a spectacular amount of Eleanor Roosevelt. If you are not an Eleanor fan when you come in, you will be when you come out. I think Eleanor would be very pleased with the tea tradition she so loved carrying on in her name. In sum, don't miss it.

We have enjoyed making a visit to this beautiful park part of our Campobello vacation for many years. This trip we went to the tea with Eleanor for the first time. It has become the highlight of our visit! Carolyne and Darlene were our hostess and lecturers. They brought Eleanor to us in an interesting and well informed way. I would recommend this experience to everyone. The whole park is a fabulous experience and the tea just enhances the day.

On a cycling tour of the island. We hit it right to get the (free) tickets to the tea, which the four of us enjoyed a lot. The stories and history, as related by the guides were amusing and educational. And the tea and cookies were delightful! Later, the tour of the two cottages was memorable.

The houses and gardens are absolutely lovely and there are a number of hiking opportunities on the island. The visitor center has a rather interesting film.
