“House and Tea Outstanding”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

Our visit Roosevelt Campobello International Park was on an overcast day but was still a great place to visit. The self guided tour of the house was enhanced by the period dressed docents that were very knowledgeable and willing to share their information. If you get a chance, take part in the one hour tea and cookies discussion of the life and activities of Eleanor Roosevelt. Our talks were given by two ladies that knew all about Eleanor's likes and dislikes. It was very interesting and the time went by quickly. Another plus was the cost -- it is FREE. We also went to the various scenic spots which had still had beautiful views even though it was overcast.

“Great place to visit!”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

we happened to catch it on the last day it was open for the season but it was still very, very interesting and all was available to see. Found it quite interesting Roosevelt went to Canada for a vacation home! Great vacation and site while he was young and then when he was older-a must for everyone to visit!!

“Yes...worth the stop”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

I am averse to historical museums. But the Roosevelt International Park is a great exception. It is aesthetically beautiful and historically acute. I learned more about pre-WWII American politics and politicians from this wonderfully visitor-friendly site than I did from ponderous classes and articles. The guides and docents are well-versed and friendly; the adjacent museum is small but incredibly effective, and the Rooosevelt "cottage" is superbly and accessibly restored. If you happen to be any where near northern Maine or coastal New Brunswick, the superior presentation afforded by the staff of the Roosevelt International Park definitely warrants a visit.

“a trip into the past”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

The information center was well laid out and contained mor information than just Roosevelt family history. We had toured the houses on a previous trip and it was not open in Oct. They showed a movie of the main house and this film actually showed more than we saw while looking through and past the crowd that had been on the previous tour. The grounds and gardens provide a peaceful place to take a break or watch nature

“Worth the side trip”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

In between Saint John, NB and Bar Harbour, ME; we made a side trip to Roosevelt Campebello to check out the playground of FDR. The visitor's center does a great job of chronicalling the Roosevelt families time on this island as well as FDR's presidency. Very educational. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to our questions.
