“Comfortable and atmospheric”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

The cabin we used was timber lined and very comfortable with a lot of homely, cosy atmosphere. The chalets were built in the 1950s but have been really well maintained. Likewise the motel suites which are somewhat larger. The kitchen was small but had good equipment. Unfortunately we could only stay for one night here and missed the opportunity to use any of the longer trails and park, which still had a large amount of snow (early May). The nearest town, Alma, does not have much to offer in fresh food except seafood which is excellent through a couple of fisheries. The lobster is excellent and scallops the best we had on the coast. The owners of the resort are very enthusiastic and helpful.

Room Tip: We had chalet no 6 up on the top of the resort giving a great view of the coast and away from the ce...

Arrived here after getting rained out of our campground by a tropical storm - were thrilled to be here! Stayed in chalet #5 which was very comfortable for us. Clean, quiet and with a well furnished kitchen. Loved the location, just outside of Alma and the VIEWS from our chalet's patio were wonderful! Saw one of the best sunrises of our lives!

we stayed here in the summer and our chalet was comfortable, clean, easy to find on the grounds.
we woke to a beautiful view. it's a quite setting and Pierre was very kind and helpful.
the chalets have everything you will need while staying, you just bring the food. the tvs are hard to get a channel to come in, however when you check in Pierre will offer movies to take to your cabin as i am sure all the staff will as well, or bored games.
we had a relaxing time.

We stayed here for 2 week nights night in Sept. We stayed in a bed sitter chalet which we found suited our needs. There was a small but sufficient kitchen, bath with a shower (no tub) and two full sized beds, and wifi. The tv had poor reception but there was over 100 DVDs to chose from in the office - we prefer to sit outside and enjoy nature so that was not a problem for us. Our chalet did not have a view of the bay . Pierre was very helpful. Everything was very clean and well cared for. we were pleased to be so close to the activities in the Nat'l Park but it was a little hike to the Hopewell Rocks. The chalet would be a perfect place to go with kids because there would be no traffic and they could play and ride their bikes while mom and dad enjoyed some relaxing times (I would tell the office this is what you needed however because some chalets are high on a hill).

Room Tip: If you are interested in a good view, I would take a room in the motel. Each room has a small balco...

Stayed in bed sitter chalet for three nights on Sept. 27-29. Cabin had two double beds, bathroom, kitchen, table, chairs, utensils, deck, picnic table and outdoor chairs. Pierre and Ann Marie were very helpful on selecting trails to hike and very friendly. You could tell they liked what they did. Cabin was perfect for my wife and I. Very relaxing. Spent each evening on deck overlooking bay. Cabin was great for three nights or for longer stay. Many people were using outdoor grills to cook. Great atmosphere, clean cabin, great view of bay, well kept grounds, and easy access to trails and town.
Dropped carton of bottles when moving in, went to office to get mop, Pierre insisted on sending member of cleaning staff to clean up for me. She did a great job. Above and beyond. She was cleaning up my mess and telling me she was sorry for taking so long. Super young lady.
Walked property every room in motel part would have a great view of bay and would be great. Plus close to swings and playground for young kids.
Had a great experience. Fair rate. Will return and stay longer. Wonderful place. Quiet , great for sleeping.

Room Tip: Stayed in upper chalet great view. Any motel room would also have great view.

The beautiful chalets..........so quaint and well kept. The owners, Anne-Marie and Pierre are very down to earth and welcoming. Good choice on staff members. (especially one young lady by the name of Stacie, who grew up in Chatham, Ontario) but, each of them were extremely pleasant and helpful. There is lots to see in the area; it is so peaceful around there.....if you want a real vacation, I strongly recommend the Fundy Highland Inn and Chalets.

We stayed one night in this location. Although the furnishings are dated, it was clean - but it did have a closed-in smell. There is a kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave and a full set of dishes. (You have to wash your dishes before you leave or there is an extra charge added to your bill.)
The grounds are very well kept, and the views are spectacular.
We travelled with our dog. There is a minimum $30.00 pet fee, which would be fine if you were staying a few days, but we were only in the cottage for 12 hours, so it seemed a bit steep to pay this much for our dog, but it sure beat sleeping in a tent.
They offer a 10% rebate on park passes if you purchase from the chalet office.
