“Excellent place!!”
Reviewed August 21, 2009

We wanted to visit the Bay of Fundy, but there aren't a lot of lodging options. Then I found this place from the tripadvisor reviews - it was great!!

We only stayed two nights, and spent most of the day in between visiting the sights, but it's a terrific place to stay. The owners, Peter and Donna, were super nice, and put out an excellent breakfast. The days we were there, the sun was shining brilliantly into the main room and illuminating the spectacular view out the gigantic windows. Wow!

Room was great. Public areas were great. Area is great. Have I said how great this place was?

We stayed at the Falcon Ridge Inn with our 2 children (12 & 14) and had a wonderful time. The room was big enough to accomodate 2 cots for the kids, it was very clean, quiet and comfortable, and the breakfasts were outstanding and filling. The hosts were wonderful and very accomodating when we asked if we could bring some fresh lobsters back and eat dinner in the breakfast room. The common areas were great, especially the DVDs available to amuse the kids after dinner. Staying here was the highlight of our trip!

We stayed at Falcon Ridge Inn July , 2009 for two nights. We were amazed at the breathtaking view from the hill overlooking the harbor. The Inn is spotless with a common area loft with books, DVDs for guest use. Beautiful view from the dining/common area. The breakfast was very good and timely, with owners being very accommodating with special requests.
Felt like we were welcomed guests.
Location close to Hopewell Rocks, Winery and other attractions. Restaurants in area also very good.

The Falcon Inn – wow, what a place. I could have stayed for another week. The home is modern, and I am sure that it was specifically designed to be a B&B. Te rooms were large, the bed was perfectly comfortable, the bathroom was roomy with a whirlpool tub. We didn’t try the fireplace because it was July, but I am sure that on a cold February evening, that fireplace is perfect.

The room was cleaned daily, and during our four night stay, we never found anything to be lacking or out of place. There was a wide selection of complimentary videos available, games and book, and of course there was the incredible view. A nice touch was providing binoculars for the guests to use.

Donna and Peter were perfect hosts, they have the right mix of relaxed conversation and helpfulness, without being intrusive or overbearing. The cooking was excellent, and breakfast consisted of the right mix of fresh fruit, dairy and a hot plate. The dining area was well laid out, giving guests the right balance of privacy without isolation.

I wish all B&B’s were as well managed as the Falcon Inn. We had a great stay and I will return without hesitation next time I am in the area.

The only sugestion I have is to provide wireless internet instead of requireing the use of an eithernet cable.

Thanks for making our stay in Alma a success!

My husband and I stayed at the FRI for two nights. As soon as we saw the room we asked if we could stay for a third but they were booked. This is one of the cleanest b and b's we've stayed in. We were greeted and shown our room. Donna also told us that we could contact her anytime. One reviewer said the owners weren't warm. In all honesty they were nice and helpful but they aren't the warm and fuzzy type. That's okay as they provide a service and do it very well. We stayed in a room upstairs (two rooms are on the same floor as the eating area and we requested not to stay there. the next couple that came in were glad to be on that floor as they didn't have to climb the stairs.). The room had everything you'd need. TV, phone (rare for a b and b), fridge, coffee maker, candies, great bed, WIFI and more. We didn't want for anything. We had our choice of time for breakfast. Breakfast starts with a fruit platter and yogurt as well as juice and coffee. I must admit that the main course (french toast and eggs and toast the next day) could have been larger especially for a man with a good appetite. Alma is a little town right next to the Fundy National Park with all services (restaurants, gas, general stores, motels) within a two block radius. We highly recommend the Falcon Ridge. We opted for a package and received passes to the park and a gift basket. Nice touches.

  • Liked — It had everything you'd need.
  • Disliked — Main course (breakfast) could have been larger especially if one is going hiking.

Upon arriving at the Falcon Ridge Inn, we were quite impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment and our room was beautiful. It had a lot of great qualities, a wonderful air jet tub, comfortable bed, tv with VCR and DVD players with movies available to watch, a mini fridge, etc. My only complaint about our experience there was that there was a bit of a stuffy feel to the place. When our hosts came out to speak to us for a brief moment at breakfast, (we saw them each once and on separate occasions) it felt forced and when we asked questions they answered while walking away to the next table which made me feel like it was more of a routine than something they actually enjoyed. The place was great and breakfasts were wonderful, but I just wish there was more warmth in the place.

  • Liked — The extra touches in the room.
  • Disliked — The hosts making us feel as if we were bothering them by being there and asking questions.

This is a fairly new building high up above the village with superb views. The location is quiet – just the sound of birds in the garden. The room was large, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom (bath with shower over) was spacious. Breakfast (included) is served in the central room at separate tables – we were given a fruit plate with a fresh muffin, followed by french toast and blueberries – delicious.
Both our room and the central room look out over the bay - a fantastic view. There was a folder on the local area and one containing menus from local restaurants in the room. The rooms had some extras to the norm - a DVD player and fridge. There were books on the area and wildlife in the central area. All in all well thought out and carried out.
