“Great location, great cottage!”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

The cottage was fully equipped (dishes/pots/pans/kettle/fridge/stove/microwave etc.), good shower/hot water, lots of room, TV, sofas, and a dining table for 'at-home' lobster dinners! Picnic tables and fire pits outside each cabin, and a nice little deck so you can sit and look out on the bay. Great location if you want to explore Fundy national park, and the service was very friendly. Free WiFi too but service was very spotty - they mentioned that they're upgrading their systems. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a nice cabin experience!

We were surprised by the spacious, well equipped, clean cottages. The service is friendly. The location is quiet.

Conveniently located, there's lots to do here; explore the beach in Alma, visit Fundy National Park, gift shops, bakery, and Octopus's Garden along Main street in Alma. Enjoy the seafood at the local restaurants, or visit one of the lobster shops to get your own fresh seafood.

But all you really need to do up on the ridge is just enjoy the view and watch the tides come and go.

We stayed 4 nights, and wished we could stay longer. We're looking forward to our next stay at Vista Ridge cottages.

We made a last minute reservation at the Vista Ridge Cottages and were pleasantly surprised. The cottages feature three double beds (one bedroom downstairs, and a loft with two beds separated by a wall). The kitchen is well stocked with a full size fridge and a full stove and oven. A nice change from other cottages we've stayed in which have only a stovetop and a mini fridge. Satellite TV, free wifi, and a great view of the harbor make these cottages the best place to stay in the area. We previously spent three nights in cottages in Fundy NP, but will definitely stay here next time we're in the area.

Went here last weekend which was the long weekend in May and the weather was unbelievably nice. The chalets had everything that we needed and the view was priceless! Had a bonfire at night and had a beautiful time!

This is the second year in a row we stayed at these cottages, they are an absolutely wonderful way to get out of city for some relaxation.
There was a nasty winter storm this year so we didn't get to venture outside but last year we went snowshoeing in Fundy on one of the trails and it was really great. Disappointed we didn't get to do it again this year BUT we had a very relaxing weekend staying in.
I love that they allow us to bring our dog with us, we generally wouldn't leave the city for the weekend without him, so if they didn't allow him we probably wouldn't go - and I know that the other cottages in the area don't allow pets so we'll be returning here each year so long as he's welcome too! :)
We stay in the farthest cottage from the entrance because it has the best view but there is no wireless internet available at this one (at the time of this review).
We love it here, we'll be back!

Room Tip: Sleep in the loft upstairs...when you get up out of bed you'll see a breathtaking view!

We stayed in a cottage for 3 days. Unfortunately, the weather was miserable, but the cottage was accomodations made up for it. It was very clean and well laid out. The owner/manager met us outside as we arrived and drove up to the cottage office to sign in and answer any questions we had. Wireless internet was available and signal was strong the entire time. The view out the front of the cottage was breath-taking and great for photos/videos of the changing tides at the entrance to fundy Park. Price was very reasonable. The kitchen had everything we needed to refriegerate and cook fresh caught seafood. Sorry we could not enjoy a campfire outide or use the picnic bench since it rained each day, but we traveled to Moncton th see the Tidal Bore twice. Heating in cabin was great when we needed it. The ceiling fan was not operational at the time and we could have used it during the day. Bathroom shower water pressure could have been a little stronger for our liking. NOTE: local seafood stores were closed for first twoo weeks in October. Next year we will stay either two weeks earlier or later to buy fresh seafood in Alma. we brought some back from Moncton to cook.
