Three of us had lunch at the restaurant this past weekend on a Saturday. The place was incredibly busy. Tables inside and out were all filled. It was a beautiful day, and we wanted to be outdoors, so we waited about 20 minutes for a table to clear on the very small patio. No table wipe down.

We all ordered the deep fried pickerel and chips, as well as an order of CRISPY fried dill pickles (apparently the kitchen has two different preparations). The gentleman who took our order made an error and only put in 2 orders of fish. My companions’ orders came out first and one of them observed that their chips were cold and soggy. No complaint was made to the kitchen. Mine came out later and were hot, crispy, and delicious. A huge difference, according to my companion who sampled mine.

After only two orders of fish came out, we asked where the third was. Initially, the person who took our order claimed that we had only ordered and paid for two orders of fish. There was a bit of attitude. Fortunately, we kept our cheque, which clearly showed we had been charged for 3 orders of fish. By way of amends, we were given a soft serve chocolate sundae. The ice cream was creamy but tasteless. The dill pickles were great! I'd return for them.

Went there for ice cream and decided to try the fish. We had the fish and shrimp combo and it was excellent. Large servings, you will leave full for $13 each. I would have preferred more seasoning on the fish and chips but less is better than too much! They had a great selection of ice cream dishes as well. The kids were delighted. Small indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. Worth a stop for certain.

The food was very good and the restaurant very busy on that particular weekend; worth the wait! It is not a fancy place but friendly service.

Had planned a drive with the thought in mind of ice cream. It was a hot day and the idea of ice cream carried us to this spot. It was easy to find, both by the location that it has at the center of town, but also by the crowd surrounding the take out window. The food was fresh, tasty and well worth the wait.

You can't go wrong here, freshwater or saltwater, you're choice, you will not be disappointed. Be prepared for a line thought, regardless of the time of day.
