Review of Corrina's on Main

Corrina's on Main
Ranked #4 of 21 Restaurants in Dauphin
Description: Corrina's On Main, where real food is found! We first opened our doors in Dauphin on December 1, 2008 at 1430 Main Street South. Due to the huge demand from all of our customers in the Dauphin and surrounding Parkland area, we opened our second location at 28 Memorial Blvd, October 14, 2014. Sadly one year later we lost our first location due to a fire. we continue to operate the location at 28 Memorial boulevard inside of the Boulevard Hotel. We provide homemade meals, soups, dessert and pies. We offer daily lunch specials, as well as evening features. We are community minded and serve up local fare, from the fresh beef we serve that grazes the land in our awesome Parkland region, to our fresh bread delivered daily from our local in town bakery. Our french fries are cut from fine potatoes also grown right here in the Dauphin area. We also get fresh seasonal veggies from a local vegetable grower. We are a proud supporter of our MJHL hockey team, the Dauphin King's, as well as the home of the delicious Dauphin Kings Burger. We are also an avid supporter of our local food bank, with Food Bank Fridays, where every second Friday of the month 100% of all tips and gratuities from our customers are donated to the Food Bank. We serve up a huge pot of Borscht every Thursday, and Perogies and Kolbassa are a part of our daily menu, as well as our Famous Ukrainian Breakfast. During Dauphin`s Festival Season including Dauphin`s Ukrainian Festival, and CountryFest, we serve up the tastiest Ukrainian platter. Our Ukrainian Food is prepared in house by our very own authentic Ukrainian Baba. Come visit us today!

Everything in Dauphin is Fast Food, this is a small very busy place and now I know why it's Great, I have yet to find a steak in Dauphin so this breaky, lunch and great burger joint is the spot. Enjoy and go at off hours.

Great food and good portions - a very busy place that is very popular. Incredible BLT platters. One of the few good places to eat in dauphin unless of course you get invited to a family meal or a Fall supper.

Remember those little diners you used to go to when you were a kid?

This one is like that. Its small but the staff was extremely courteous, even telling us when she went on break! The food was excellent, basic fare that filled us up.

We had:
Poached eggs with hasbrowns
Pancakes w/fruit toppings (frozen but berries were out of season)

Just good honest, homecooked "comfort" meals. A bit pricey but worth every "penny" (is that still a saying now that the Canadian penny is killed off?). Make sure to try the perogies!

After an unpleasant experience at a "Chinese and Canadian Food" restaurant in another town, Corrina's seemed like a wise choice. They spell it with two r's on their cash register receipt. They were slow to seat us, and we had a brand new waitress who answered our questions by looking at the menu or dessert board, the same resources available to us. Consequently we ordered, then reordered when our choices proved to be not available. For $32 bucks, and no alcohol, we got truly mediocre meals and an extremely odd "cheesecake" for dessert. I don't suppose we'll be in Dauphin again but it we are this place is a "don't go there".
