“Ocean, beach, hot tub...AMAZING!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

We have just spent an amazing night at Bella's Bed and Breakfast in Comox and can't wait to go back!

Upon our arrival, the owner helped us with our bags (really) and gave us a tour of the suite. The suite has beautiful hardwood floors, a fireplace, lounge chairs facing out through huge picture windows over the hot tub to the ocean below. The room also includes a huge soaker tub AND a huge glass & tile shower.

Although the room is fantastic, the hosts are even better! Jim and his partner Lori are wonderful hosts with tons of great stories and local knowledge to help with activities. Oh yeah - the BREAKFAST was wonderful too!

And let's not forget about the "nice touches" like homemade cookies in the room...

Can't say enough about the experience - we will be frequent visitors for sure!!!

Thank you Jim for your wonderful hospitality!

The very large room with a private entrance felt very inviting. It has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. My favorite part was the star gazing from the hot tub and the wonderful breakfast Jim made for us. I would definitley recommend this B&B and stay here again!

This bed and breakfast was absolutely amazing. The view from the beautiful suite is breath-taking
and the hosts Jim and Lore were incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and activities that we could do as a family, our host Jim even took us out to Cumberland to visit the Coal Mining Museum. The food was delicious and even our pickiest eater ate everything off his plate. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone thinking of getting a 5 star suite for a unbelievable price.

How lucky we were to stumble upon this magical place! Jim and Lori are the most incredibly warm, welcoming hosts, who also allowed us to have the private time we needed. The location is unbelievably beautiful, with a wide open view of the ocean looking towards Powell River and the mountainous B.C. mainland. Our suite was second to none, from the elegant sitting room with gorgeous fireplace facing the sea, to the wonderful bed and mattress which gave us the best sleeps we've had in ages! What a joy to wake up each morning and see the ocean right from our bed. And the bathroom is deluxe, with a wonderful deap soaker tub, huge granite shower, separate toilet area, etc. It was extremely well appointed and sumptuous in every way. The breakfasts were delicious and generous, and different for each of our 3 days. And the hot tub on the deck was particularly appreciated, lying back and watching the shooting stars while listening to the ocean lap at the seawall. A short but very memorable and relaxing trip, and we are already planning our return! We heartily recommend Bella's to everyone, and have already started telling our friends about this gem of a place. Kate and Terry Brennan, Victoria, BC, Canada

This place was in every way exceptional! We pulled into the driveway and Jim, our host, greeeted us warmly and helped us with our bags. Lori, our other host, showed us around the guest suite. She thoughtfully had an air mattress ready for my six year old daughter. The suite was lovely... hard wood floors, huge bathroom with a soaker tub and a glass shower with three heads. The suite was amazing and beautifully decorated with native art and soothing colors. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and served to us each morning. To add to this, I will never forget the view. This property is right on the water, so waves lull you to sleep each night. To add to this, there is an incredible hottub just steps from the guest suite. I cannot recommend a stay here enough. Gracious hosts in an awesome place!

This is far more than a B & B; it is a suite that could easily be featured in Better Homes and Gardens or any other decorating magazine. It is immaculate and beautifully designed. Every little detail reveals how much thought has gone into creating a space that is both beautiful and functional. Huge picture windows look out on to the ocean (Georgia Strait) and the sofa and the bed face out for an amazing view. Even if there were nothing to do in the immediate area (which is not the case) this place would be worth visiting for the view and suite alone. Even the lighting is perfect. A huge tub is surrounded by plants and candles and the shower is as large as some bathrooms. If this suite were located in New York City it would probably cost over $500 a night. From the down duvet to the immense fireplace it is easily one of the most luxurious accomodations one could experience; it is also reasonably priced.
The hosts are very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, unpretentious and make an excellent and varied breakfast. The house is nicely landscaped and the outdoor hot tub and various chairs make for an enjoyable relaxing time outside as well. We wish that we had booked for longer than 2 days! Highly recommended.
