I chose NIK for their proximity to the area we would kayak and camp. Within 20 mins of paddling, there was Orca. Three out of the next four days on the water, we saw Orca. There was Dall's porpoise, salmon, eagles, deer, seals, seabirds, and even a distant humpback seen from camp. We saw wildlife everyday. Our guide Wendy amazed. Not only guide, teacher and wrangler of the 5 of us, her meals in camp were delicious, while she took into account the gluten-free and vegetarian among us. I camped in Telegraph Cove before and after the tour with NIK gear which kept me warm during cool and damp nights. I would recommend them to anyone.

We just returned from the six day Broughton trip. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The weather was perfect (sun every day) and kayaking in the morning fog was great. We saw Orcas four times - a couple of times right off our camping beach, Humpbacks, Minke, Dall's Porpoise, Sea Lions, Seals, plus all the Urchins, Anenomes, Sea Cucumbers, etc. Brad, our guide, was so enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the area and the wildlife. He was able to read our group right away and provided us with six wonderful days of paddling with manageable distances and time to just sit back and relax and enjoy. Our meals were great and well thought out. There were lots of places to see and six days is not enough to do it all, but what we did see was amazing, especially White Cliff Islets, a little piece of heaven on a sunny day. Thank you Brad for a holiday to always remember!

We (family of 4) had a perfect 2 day trip with our guide Juillian, who was very knowledgable about the surrounding wildlfe. We saw bald eagles, sea lions, small Dolphins (forgot the name), about 1 million jumping salmons, a whale, black bear, seaflowers, sea stars and a family of orca's at very close range (Luckily the decided to dive about 4 meters from our kayaks). Exciting moment to say the least!!
Amazing to see and experience what delicious meals Jullian could make with the stuff he stowed in the kayaks.
Overall our compliments and we were very happy to see all the wildlife up close.

A few weeks back I went out with Jam on the half day tour and spent around three of the four hours paddling in the mist with orcas! It was simply wonderful. Jam was laid back and knowledgeable then put us in a great position when he heard on his radio that the orcas were heading our way. Thanks for an epic morning!

We recently completed a 3 day Orca Safari with North Island Kayak Tours & Rentals out of Telegraph Cove on Vancouver Island. Our guide Josh was capable, organized, knowledgeable, relaxed and fun, so the holiday was everything we hoped it would be. We were novice kayakers yet the routes and distances were manageable for us. Even the food was really great. We were taken to places I would not have known to find on my own without a guide. Everyday we saw either whales, porpoises, dolphins or sea lions. The campsite was nestled into the beautiful lush forest along a long pebble beach. Even at night as we lay in our tent in the darkness, I heard some whales blowing as they swam by in the night - thats pretty incredible. I definitely recommend the company and the 3-day tour.
