It's a quaint place built off a boardwalk with brightly coloured clapperboard -looks like something out of Disney and views from accommodation out over the sea are spectacular. We were in cabin 14 and it has definitely seen better days and needs major investment to bring up to a reasonable standard.

Two single beds that have seen better days and although linen clean covers are clearly old and at night they are needed as room cools down. Cutlery and plates provided but not tempted to use them and sign over sink advising that fish shouldn't be gutted there make it clear that these establishments are intended primarily for guys out on fishing trips. Storage minimal as are facilities - no tv no internet

Bathroom towels clean and plentiful but whb hanging off wall shower very old and basic with holes knocked through walls for service pipes and worn out vinyl on the floor not very attractive. There is a restaurant and cafe serving food, both expensive for what is provided as is the local shop -captured market.

For the price paid I don't believe that this standard of accommodation is acceptable in the modern day but can't fault the staff who are all very helpful

We drove in to see the resort as we could not get a room there for the night but we did not want to miss seeing the place. We stayed for about two hours and enjoyed walking around and reading the signs with the history on them of the houses and the other buildings. It is such a quaint place. If we ever get a chance to come back we will be booking a room months ahead so we can really enjoy the atmosphere.

Room Tip: We never got to stay there but all the places looked like a great place to stay. Some right on the water and others looking over the water.

We stayed 3 nights. great to have showers and so close to the little hamlet, just 15 minute walk. Lovely forested site and well kept. free parking for campers in the hamlet. traffic noise for early morning fishermen (5am) is a little annoying but you are in their territory

We stayed in the Crouter House, otherwise known as the Honeymoon Suite 7/30 - 8/3/2013. The house has a wonderful deck that overhangs the marina so we enjoyed watching the boats come in with their daily catches when we weren't out whale watching, kayaking or hiking. The view of the cove is perfect, you can see the entire thing. It's basically one large room with a bathroom, so it was a little tight for our family of three and the hide-a-bed is well worn so our teenage daughter just slept on the couch itself... next time we'll know to get a two bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, including a dishwasher and the bathroom towels are the really nice fluffy white ones. We had to chase down the housekeeping staff a couple of times for clean towels and coffee, we didn't seem to have daily housekeeping for those things. The decor is a bit outdated but it's quaint and we were quite comfortable otherwise. This is not a place to stay if you are looking for luxury, but if you are happy with clean and tidy and amazing surroundings --- this is a special place. The eagles sit on trees right above the house and hummingbirds buzz by to say hi. Everyone was so friendly everywhere we went in the Cove. We will definitely be back, in fact my boyfriend said he wants to go forever...

Room Tip: All the houses are different and there are two campgrounds, be sure to check out their website for your options. The campground right in the Cove is basically gravel and dirt, but the other is in the forest and quite well maintained.

We stayed here for 1 night before our whale watching at 9am the next morning. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite of the Westall house and we had the whole house to ourselves as it was a little off season. Room was comfortable and quiet. We ate in the pub at the bottom of the stairs and the food and service was good. Apparently a bear had recently visited the resort and there were cooking oil footprints outside the General Store. Got a little worried about all the Cougar stories!
