“If you like good coffee, order tea.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Whoever makes the coffee cannot read instructions as it tastes as if there is double the amount of water being filtered over the grounds than is recommended, however, if you happen to like very, very weak coffee, you may want a refill. Fortunately, Timmies is only ½ block away.
For $20 per person including beverage and gratuity, you can get a pretty good quantity of food, albeit somewhat slow to arrive, and served lukewarm (not hot). I can recommend their open faced sandwiches for a full sized meal, which will be too much for petite women and pre-teen children, but very tasty. If you like a spicy sandwich, try the “Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich” open-faced and piled high with shaved steak, jalapeños, and a chipotle cheese sauce it works for the Tex-Mex palate (hold the jalapeños for a milder kick).
The “Roast Beef with Gravy” is recommended for those who are looking for a good open-faced sandwich. The gravy is rich and the beef is tender. We both had fries with gravy and found them to be far less greasy than most places.
If the meals had been served hot instead of lukewarm, it would have been much better. Service is as slow as it was when the restaurant was under previous management, so we were expecting the 30+ minute wait for service. If you are looking for a good meal, skip the coffee, and relax for an hour or so at this average diner.

Thank you for your review of our restaurant. I am very sorry to hear that you incurred a longer than expected wait time and that your food was served lukewarm. Our coffee is made in a machine specifically calibrated for Van Houtte coffee, the grinder grinds the beans to an exact measurement for the amount of water used to make a full pot. I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy it.
I do hope you will join us again for a meal in hopes that we could have the chance to improve your dining experience. Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review.

“What a difference, not in a good way”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Thought we would try this place in it's new location. Well what a difference, not in a good way. Menu is weird, not very kid friendly. Service was terrible, slow to the point of almost nonexistent. It took almost 2 hours by the time we sat down and finished our meals. Kids were tired and restless by then. I had the classic Caesar salad, wilted and not very tasty & my husband had the roast beef over done and not a lot of flavor.

I am terribly sorry, not only for your bad experience but for my horrible tardiness at responding to your posting.
I wish to assure you that since you visited in July we have been working very hard to iron out all of our hiccups and darn right fails. The transition from intimate fine dining restaurant to a more casual style restaurant of this size and volume has taken some time and fine tuning.
In regards to not being very child friendly, I am afraid I don't understand. We offer a kids menu and our culinary team is always willing to accommodate any dietary needs or personal whims.
I do hope you will join us again to give us the chance to change your opinion. If you decide to join us again please ask for the Front of House manager, I would love to give you a free appetizer or dessert,
Thank you so much for your review, all criticism good or bad helps us grow and learn for next time. :)

“Good 'diner' type experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

Kind of a diner style restaurant with booths and lots of windows. The food was good and flavorful but the dish's visual appeal could be improved on. The service was a little slow from on server side, it seemed like there were not enough servers for the number of customers. They could benefit from having a 'host' in busier times of the day who can also help out.
Overall though, the food was good and although the service needed to be stepped up a bit it was ok. The prices were slightly high as well for the food / facility style.

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the food. As a new restaurant we appreciate all criticisms as they help us iron out the mistakes and flaws. Since you posted about your visit we have strove hard to improve the visual appeal of our foods and have hired on more staff with more managerial support to ensure a higher level of service for our customers. I do hope you will join us again and hopefully we can leave you with an all over better experience than your initial visit.

Thank you so much!!! As I am sure your aware (as you called our chef by name), we (under his guidance) make almost everything from scratch and in house, using as organic and local product as possible, whatever we don't make in house we source out locally to help support our communities. Fresh made hollandaise really makes the difference and I am so pleased to hear that you not only enjoyed your breakfast, but that we were able to make it to the "best of" list.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support.

“Not the same restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013 via mobile

Since their relocation, it is obvious they have changed their focus. This is no longer the boutique eatery it was. They have made some conscious price point decisions and it shows in the food. What set the Seasons apart at it's previous location was the focus on quality ingredients. A sandwich was not just a sandwich. It was a creation. Now it's just more of the same. Not bad, not great. Just another place to grab a bite
