“Gem of an eaterie in the heart of Sechelt, Sunshine Coast”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

From the moment you step into Ty's the incredible aromas seduce your senses ... roasted garlic, homemade soups, savoury scones, fresh salads, daily specials, made from scratch(!) fresh pasta ... just some of the daily delectable delights. Cabbage roll Wednesday is a sell-out each week (so get there early or pre-order!!). Pulled pork & coleslaw rolls were a firm family favourite also.
No trip to the Sunshine Coast is complete without a tapas-style lunch at Ty's.
Nova and Cindy were wonderful hosts.

“Great food in bright new location”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Ty's has relocated to a bright new location and has quickly become my "go to" place for lunch. Today I had a rich duck broth vegetable soup and half a chicken and mango sandwich that I shared with my wife - our bill came to only 12 bucks for the two of us. Today was also Cabbage Roll Wednesday, a very popular choice given the number of people both inside the restaurant and those arriving to pick up orders. The food is always unique and great tasting and I'm looking forward to one of their upcoming evening events.

“Can't wait to return.”
Reviewed June 17, 2013 via mobile

This little gem of a restraunt was a fantastic find. They are just out re-open around the corner on Trail Ave. I can't wait, I keep peaking in. The place looks amazing. Must be ready to open any day now.

Love love love this place. Dreaming of their pulled pork.

“Secret No More”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

Ty's Bistro is not a secret any longer because I tell each and everyone I meet about it and they in turn, pass it on to their friends and family and so the news travels. If you're tired of eating in places that serve mediocre food for exhorbitant prices, you need to try Ty's . If you want to eat food that is fresh, well prepared and served with the same passion that it is cooked in, Ty's is the place for you.
I discovered Ty's when I first moved to Sechelt a couple of years back. The wholesome and tasty soups are served with homemade bread and butter. I've enjoyed the pizza extraordinaire and also a stew. My daughter has eaten the sandwiches and loved them. Nova, the owner is friendly and accomodating as is her mother Cindy. Love those two gals. The gourmet food offerings change from day to day so I'm always surprised. It's a lovely little nook to spend a quiet afternoon in, reading or writing. In the summer, it's great to sit on the deck, sip on coffee and eat some scrumptious dessert or the other and watch people saunter along Cowrie Street. If you haven't already, give Ty's Bistro a go. You will not be disappointed.
