We spent a very relaxing weekend away from our busy family life with 4 children. Jack's hospitality was grand. Whether you want to do a lot or a little, he has a suggestion for you. And if you want to do nothing, you can't beat the view from the hot tub! The breakfasts were perfect and the dining suggestions in the area were wonderful. The location is easy to find and you can't get any closer to the water than Coracle Cove! A great get away!!

Thanks so much for your review. Our hot tub is a very special place to completely relax while listening to the waves lapping against the rocks below.

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend this February at the Coracle Cove B&B. The B&B was easy to find, given the directions provided and that we arrived late on a Friday evening (coming from Vancouver). When we arrived, Jack made us feel very comfortable and welcome; he gave us a quick overview of the home and then let us settle in.

The entire suite was immaculately clean, comfortable, and has lots windows which bring in natural light. Both the living room and the bedroom (with its king sized bed!) had a beautiful view of the water and surrounding trees. We enjoyed using the hot tub both evenings, which also overlooked the water, and it was the perfect way to wind down from the day. Coracle Cove is in a picture perfect spot!

Jack made us an excellent breakfast each morning - what a great cook! I enjoy cooking a great deal and I was impressed at the attention to detail and thoughtfulness he puts into the meals. He was also very helpful when we were brainstorming what we wanted to do, and knows the surrounding area and community very well.

The next time I come to the Sunshine Coast, I will have Coracle Cove at the top of my list. Thanks for a such a great trip!

My sweetheart and I spent New Year's Eve at Coracle Cove this year and can't say enough wonderful things about Jack, Sheila, and their lovely property. The accommodations were large, beautifully decorated, and private, with incredible views of the cove. Jack's breakfasts were absolutely delicious (and he even treated us to mimosas on New Year's Day!) and the hot tub is nestled under an arbutus tree on a deck under the stars. Jack's advice on local hikes brought us to some of the most beautiful scenery we've seen (smuggler's cove is a must-see.)

Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

Thanks for your kind words about Coracle Cove. It was fun having you here over the extended New Year's weekend and I'm always looking for a good excuse to do something special for breakfast. Smuggler's Cove is one of my favourite hikes and I was just there again myself last weekend. Thanks again for your review.

What an amazing B&B! Private, gorgeous views, and amazing sense of peace and quit. Relaxing down on the dock with the rolling waves rocking you back and forth was exactly what we needed. we were expecting to stay for two nights, but it was so peaceful and relaxing, we stayed an extra night. Jacks breakfast were PERFECT, a chef at heart you can tell. we rode our bikes from Vancouver, the only disappointing part was the lack of bike path from the ferry to Sechelt, it was quite dangerous on the highway. Jack was very gracious and went grocery shopping for us because we were on our bikes, and was kind enough to take us by boat across the bay, rather than us having to ride up the kilometer plus hill to the main road. We saw a tonne of sea life, a massive school of jellyfish, an eagle hung out with all weekend, and plenty of fish and star fish to be mesmerized by for hours. we will definitely be back!

Thanks so much for your wonderful review; we appreciate all of your kind comments. We're glad you decided to stay the extra day as there is so much to see and do on the Sunshine Coast, including taking full advantage of our waterside decks for some much-needed R&R. We were happy to pick up groceries for you and we're always looking for any excuse for a boat trip. We hope to see you back at Coracle Cove.

We needed a quick getaway for the November long weekend and we stayed at Coracle Cove. The view there is fantastic! We enjoyed watching the sunrise over Sechelt Inlet from the dock and relaxing in the hot tub.

The suite is private and has ocean views, although the views from the rooms are a bit obstructed by trees and the large deck of the main house above. We didn't mind as it encouraged us to go outside and enjoy the fresh air from the dock, but your mileage may vary.

Jack was a great host and provided us with lots of suggestions for things to see and do on the Sunshine coast. The breakfasts were delicious, and the portions were not overwhelmingly large.

If you decide to visit, don't worry about the driveway. It is steep, but very safe, and there is lots of room to turn around at the bottom.

Room Tip: There is only one room.

We stayed at Coracle Cove for three nights, in an effort to find some relaxation after a hectic few months. Coracle Cove was the perfect place to relax!

The suite is the lower portion of the house, and is perfectly sized . We didn’t take advantage of the cooking facilities (kitchen and BBQ) but noted that we could easily cook simple meals if we had chosen (maybe on a future visit?). The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, the bed was a bit soft for us but that is just personal taste.

The best feature was the variety of outside locations. My favourite morning spot was the private deck right outside the living space– lots of birds and a great view! We took full advantage of hot tub and floating dock, spending several hours reading, enjoying wine or just watching the ocean.

The breakfasts were amazing, and served in the suite. We had three very different and delicious breakfasts, each of which took advantage of the local seasonal produce. We also enjoyed chatting with Jack each morning and learning more about the local community. He had several great suggestions of activities, his recommendations for restaurants were appreciated and very accurate, and his knowledge of businesses and events really enhanced our stay.

I would encourage anyone looking to stay in the Sechelt area to consider Coracle Cove, It is worth the short drive and although the driveway looks a bit scary, it really isn’t..

This was our second stay at Coracle Cove, and it is as wonderful as we remember.

My wife and I love the Sunshine Coast, and this little B & B is one of our favourites in the Sechelt area. It is a bit out of the way out on Sandy Hook, but that just adds to the tranquility of the place. Down a very steep driveway, amid the cedars, pines, and arbutus trees, is an idyllic little B & B that truly feels like a home; and you are the only guests.

Going beyond the simple bed and breakfast philosophy, the space is a good sized suite with a separate entrance, private deck, and access to a BBQ, hot tub, and a floating dock - a perfect place for taking in the calm quite early morning.

There is a very functional kitchen. A sitting area with TV and DVD player with a nice selection of movies available. The bedroom has plenty of room even with a king size bed. Although the bed was a bit soft for us, it is comfortable with good pillows. The art and antique furniture complete the eclectic décor. In the bathroom, there are cosy bathrobes for two, and extra towels for the hot tub.

The breakfasts were delicious, and served in the suite. Jack’s attention to detail is wonderful, and he was very happy to accommodate our requests for vegetarian breakfasts.

Jack is a charming and gracious host, and like many B & B owners on the Sunshine Coast, he has strong ties to the community. He is always able to suggest great places to hike, things to do, and restaurants to try.

Our stay was too short this time, but a wonderful, peaceful stay it was none the less.

I would encourage anyone looking to stay in the Sechelt area to consider Coracle Cove, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed.
