Drove out from Sooke on TA recommendation. So happened we arrived just as the World Cup finals started and there was a large screen TV with both German and Argentine fans in attendance. 3 hrs later we finished - incredible fun. Now to the food. The scallop appetizer was to die for. Usually have had scallops wrapped in bacon, but not here. Scallops cooked in butter, garlic and shallots and served with about quarter pound of bacon pieces served with garlic toast. Next visit I'll be tempted to have two or three as my appetizer, main course, and dessert! Main course was halibut broiled, not breaded. Only shortfall was the smaller piece was slightly dry but thicker was moist and excellent. It was served with fries and a great small garden salad with a superb raspberry vinaigrette. Previous compliant re loud waitress, confusion on where to order was someone who wanted to complain. It all contributes to the ambiance of the restaurant. Servers were friendly, competent and efficient. No room for dessert. To top it all off, the owner bought everyone in the restaurant a drink at the end of the World Cup. Don't miss it
