The setting is very nice but far away from everything. Port Mc Neill is the closest small village and is 20 min driving. The rooms are clean but very small and it was a problem to stow away our travel bags and find place for the backpack and photo equipment. We were lucky to see river otters from the lodge but we were send into the rain by the lady of the house because we were taking pictures thru the open door. Argument; it's too cold, but it was cold anyway because there was no heating nor fire. The owner tried to be friendly but the lady isn't friendly at all.
The food and especially the crab is georgious.
For less money one can have a splendid room three times the space, with full kitchen and sitting area, right into the bay of Port Mc Neill and also with wildlife at teh front door. Little bit disappointed and too expensive for the offered quality.More
