Owner description: The massive mountain rises 4000 vertical ft and covers 3000 acres of terrain suitable for all abilities. Intermediates carve the famed fall-line groomed runs while advanced skiers revel in the steeps of Taynton Bowl. The summit’s 8000 ft elevation, just below tree-line, provides breathtaking views and stands tall over this convenient ski-in/ski-out village and the nearby quaint town of Invermere. After an exhilarating day on the slopes guests rejuvenate in Canada’s largest slopeside hot-pools. The resort’s relaxed character and abundance of onsite activities including heliskiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and tubing make it a favourite for destination skiers. This is Panorama Mountain Village.

“Not enough snow.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

Not enough snow for the season. Main runs back into the lodge were skiied out by 10 a.m. That is the problem with this resort is the easier runs are the main ones back to the lodge and get skied out. Up on higher runs, rocks at almost every turn. Best snow and terrain was above the golf course. They need to put in a fast lift and the traffic would go there. How can you have a mountain open with large sections of the cat tracks are dirt?

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the snow has been a bit slower to arrive this year at the resorts in Western Canada but we received a big snowfall last week with lots more in the forecast this weekend.

We currently have over 110 trails open and all 4000 vertical feet of terrain. We'd love to have you back after we get a fresh snow so you can experience the full glory of Panorama's terrain.

Thanks again.

“Overpriced for bad food and bad amenities.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013 via mobile

Better off to go to a cheaper hotel. We paid $300 to stay at ski tip. There was no free wifi. The room was cheaply built. Hotel soap was cheap. The next day, breakfast was one of four options. The coffee was I drinkable. The breakfast barely edible.

I will never come back here again.

Thanks for your feedback. Our guests typically love staying in Ski Tip lodge so I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. We serve Canada's #1 organic coffee - Kicking Horse Coffee - a very popular gourmet brand in the Picnic Cafe (right next to Ski Tip lodge) which also serves high end breakfast and lunch daily. I'm not sure where you dined based on your review, but the Picnic Cafe is a great option if you visit us again.

If you're looking for a more budget-style experience at Panorama, the Pine Inn is located right next to Ski Tip lodge and offers budget accommodation just steps from the Mile 1 quad.

All the best.

“Great Resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2013

Having been travelling to Panorama annually from the UK for nearly 20 years. Great ski hill catering for all levels of ability. Friendly resort. Skiing in the afternoons is like having your own ski hill with terrain to suit your mood.

“Bored Kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

My husband and I brought our family on vacation to Panorama for the third year in a row this past winter. Upon our first visit the kids were heart-broken to see that the terrain park was merely a bunch of snowmaking mounds that was closed off to the public because it was incomplete (In January no less!). This was the sole attraction for the kids, and to be quite honest it ruined our holiday.

We returned in spring with hope that it would finally be completed, and we were disappointed to see that it was greatly downsized (shoved into a small roped off area at the base of the mountain) from our previous visit. We hope to see it returned to Powder trail for next season, or we will have to start visiting Lake Louise instead to keep the children happy.

I personally love panorama for its terrain and awesome uncrowded groomed runs, but the experience of whining, bored kids ruined the holiday (twice!) for myself and my husband.

Other than that, our Lodging, restaurants and interaction with staff was great.

“Summer Find...who knew?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

We stopped in because of the mountain biking, which the lessons were great for our 11 year old. There were some hikes available from the top of the quad chair, mini golf was great and the little pizza place top notch! I would highly recommend this place for a 2 day stop with a family. Our 7 year old LOVED the bungy jumping (very controlled). The swimming facilities are fantastic also. The weather wasn't great while we were there, so 2 days was plenty...but definitely worth the stop.
