Owner description: The massive mountain rises 4000 vertical ft and covers 3000 acres of terrain suitable for all abilities. Intermediates carve the famed fall-line groomed runs while advanced skiers revel in the steeps of Taynton Bowl. The summit’s 8000 ft elevation, just below tree-line, provides breathtaking views and stands tall over this convenient ski-in/ski-out village and the nearby quaint town of Invermere. After an exhilarating day on the slopes guests rejuvenate in Canada’s largest slopeside hot-pools. The resort’s relaxed character and abundance of onsite activities including heliskiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and tubing make it a favourite for destination skiers. This is Panorama Mountain Village.

You can really do anything your heart desires there, swim, golf, ski, white water raft, or relax. Staff are knowledgable and friendly

The mountain has a lot of great cruiser runs, but has very few lifts (4) servicing the mountain. There are lots of great runs, but if you are advanced skiier/snowboarder you may get annoyed at the fact that enjoying the better runs on the backside will leave you with a long run down a cat trail to get to the back to the base.

As new FT residents of Invermere, my husband and I purchased season passes - a total of $2200. That's a lot of money for us! To date, we've skied approx. 7 days and each time at Pano, we've experienced either poor customer service and / or things in need of repair or improvement. One day, we tried renting a locker (not cheap!). It wouldn't work. The sign indicated to ask for assistance if any problems. The female employee at Guest Services didn't have a clue as to what to do and showed no desire to help us. The condition of the main washrooms (in the Great Hall) are rarely attended to during the day; both the mens' and the womens' have had stalls 'out of order' since the season opened. Garbage and debris is everywhere on the floor throughout the Great Hall; easy to understand as we couldn't see any garbage containers in the lobby. Today was the worst day: we had to park in the overflow parking and wait for a shuttle bus to take us to the Village. Both drivers barely spoke English and therefore could not communicate to us how often the shuttle made round trips. After attempting to communicate with both, one driver finally said 'Every 5 minutes'. After skiing, we walked over to where the shuttle bus had dropped us off before and waited approximately 25 minutes, before my husband went into the Pine Lodge to confirm a pickup. The staff knew nothing about this service. We then stopped an employee who was walking by and she tried to help us by calling Guest Services. Once again, Guest Services was unable to help because they did not know about the shuttle services. My husband had to get on the Gondola, and then walk all the way to the overflow parking, up the 32 steps to the parking lot, to get our vehicle. Meantime, another group of skiers came for the shuttle: two adults and their two young children. All of them had their ski gear with them. The two young children were crying because they wanted to leave. Like us, one of them had to walk all the way down to the overflow parking lot to get their vehicle and then drive back up to the Village to pick us up. It's difficult to believe that Pano has been operating for 50 years. You'd think by now management would have their customer service down to an art; more frequent attention to the public amenities / areas; and bus drivers who speak English!!

A quaint mountain ski/golf resort village. Three levels of accommodations. The village condominiums are excellent. Several good restaurants in the village. Many attractions and things to do. Spectacular mountain views.

This is my husband's favourite place to do down hill riding in the summer and to ski in the winter and he is avid in both sports.
