4 of us stayed in the main lodge for a girls' weekend. The location is wonderful, right on Lake Okanagan in the small town of Naramata. The cosy room has a veranda and small kitchenette. The lodge is quite comfortable with sitting rooms and dining room.
The expansive lawn area has comforable chairs to gaze out over the sandy beach and lake, with the mountains as a backdrop.
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast included in the price. Cheesy frittata, fresh baked muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, toast. Day two featured waffles with home-made berry compote and fresh whipped cream.
Biking trails close by provided beautiful views of the valley below, abandoned train tunnels and trestle bridges.
Wineries where everywhere offering tastings for a small fee.
The resort has all kinds of activities for adults and children from tennis to canoeing.
Dinner at the Heritage Inn Resort is a must. The food is outstanding and the wine menu offers a wide range of local wines.
Jules and Gabe manage the resort and are wonderful, helpful, friendly hosts with lots of knowledge of the area.
The log cabins on the property are fully equiped and suitable for friends or family.
We'll definately be back, maybe even with our husbands!
