Halcyon Hot Springs Spa
Ranked #3 of 7 things to do in Nakusp

What I like the most at Halcyon Hot Springs is that the pools are not chlorinated, instead the mineral water coming from natural sources is treated with ozone before reaching the pools. The view around Halcyon is magnificent, all pools have spectacular panorama over Upper Arrow Lake and the Monashee Mountaints. Coming out from the changing rooms, you'll see three pools: the hot one at 42C, a large warm pool at 32C and a small ice-cold plunge at 12C. I've enjoyed all of them, alternating the hot one with the cold one has many benefits for my health, it's like having a natural vaccine without any side effects. Downstairs there is a large swimming pool for you enjoy; the temperature here is around 30C. What makes the water of the springs at Halcyon so unique is the Lithia concentration, which was proven to be six times stronger than any other springs in North America. Have a wonderful time at Halcyon!!

Came here for a much needed break from our busy lifestyle.
Stayed for two nights.. had rain for most of the time. We stayed in a chalet , which was quite clean . There are very interested hiking trails, the pools are refreshing and revitalizing.
We really needed the no cell coverage which really does let you relax!

We highly recommend this resort to families and couples!

Let me start by saying we have been to Halcyon many times over the years, but had not been for the last 3 or 4 years. We enjoyed our swim as always but noticed a real decline in the appearance since our last visit. Tiles were broken and missing, the beautiful color blue in the pool is faded or gone entirely, the wood beams badly need restaining, the facia boards in places were all discolored and even starting to rot. So this was quite a surprise and detracted from our enjoyment. As well when we went to the desk to pay for our swim I said we were a family of four--my wife and two kids 16 and 14. The lady at the desk looked at my 16 year old daughter and in quite a snotty manner said we consider kids for a family rate to be 12 or under. She DID give us the family rate but I was quite disgusted with this and as far as I am concerned a family is children under 18--not 12! Now all this being said, we did enjoy our swim, and it is a beautiful location with the mountains and lake and such. But I don't know if it is new ownership or management since the last time we visited, but they are really starting to rest on their laurels and need to at the very least hire a good maintenance staff to keep things up.

Halcyon is our go-to mini vacation. A perfect place to stop and recharge the batteries with a dip in one of the three pools. The best part? The cabins are very comfortable, view is outstanding, and there is no cell phone coverage! Truly a place to get away from it all!

What a wonderful place, with fantastic views of the mountains. 3 pools (Hot, Medium, and damn cold in the winter) make for a great way to end a long day of skiing at Revelstoke Mountain. A short ferry ride over only adds to the entire experience.
