What a gem. From the person who greeted us to the restauranr servers to the lady who delivered our breakfast in the morning all were pleasant and helpful. If you just want to relax and chill in front of a roaring fireplace or observe eagles, swans, ducks and geese from your balconey then this is the place for you! Not a lot around but thats the beauty of Rowenas. We will be back.

We have been coming here for a few years, and are planning to come back. We rented a cabin, they do have a pet friendly cabin available. And you will get at first sight is: A clean cabin, a bottle of local white wine with 2 glasses, a small bowl of crackers and a plate with fruit and cheese. You will also see a wood burning fire place ready to be lit and a bubble bath. The entrance floor and the washroom floor are heated. In the morning you will get a delicious hot breakfast. In the evening you can eat at the restaurant, the food is great and serve local salmon dishes. We always enjoyed taking a walk, watching the eagles in November. The only reason why i didn't give an excellent rating was the bed. Its 2 mattresses stuck together and the middle ridge made it a little uncomfortable to sleep on. I did mention it on my way out and the staff did say that they will look into it.We did also have the pleasure of talking with the owner, who, I may say is a very charming lady who seems to show genuine care for her establishment. They do have free Wi-Fi, a radio but no TV, (You are there to relax, you can watch TV at home so consider that as a plus) So yes I do recommend the cabin, Yes we will come back, In a nutshell we are pleased with the service and cabin.I do also recommend the afternoon tea in the main building.

Room Tip: choose the Phyllis cabin by the pond, the carol Ann cabin is the only pet friendly cabin. But they a...

We had a great, spontaneous and relaxing stay at Rowena’s. Because we made reservations the day of our trip, we stayed in Charlie’s room which is located in the Inn. While the room was cozy, it was well appointed. The bathroom was immaculately clean, probably the cleanest I have experienced. There was a spacious sitting area outside our room to one side and a coffee and tea room on the other side (for our morning coffee). The setting of the Inn is elegant and we were impressed by the collection of antiques. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, and we were made most welcome by Betty Anne. The breakfast was delicious (I had the Eggs Benedict Classic).

I cannot say any more than what others have said about the river and golf course setting which is perfect for weddings, and I can just imagine the area full of bald eagles during late fall. The grounds and golf course path were perfect for walking and thinking.

We enjoyed exploring around the area and for our next visit, I would try a river view room or cabin and bring my golf clubs.

Room Tip: The cabins looked really nice.

Our daughter was married at Rowena's. The wedding at that location was spectacular. We partied and danced until midnight under the open tent. By 1:00am all guests who are not staying at Rowena's in one of the 4 cabins or 5 bedrooms in the main house have to leave.
It is nice to go from partying and dancing to complete solitude in the very comfortable cabins. We did not use the fireplace in the morning, however our friends did in their cabin.
Then a scrumptious breakfast, complete with bacon, sausages, eggs, pancakes, fruit toast, orange juice, and coffee arives in a very large picnic basket at your cabin.
I just love the place. A beautiful outdoor pool and a hot tub are also on the property, along with Sandpiper golf course. I didn't even mention the pond in front of the cabin or the sound of eagles in the morning looking for their breakfast fish on the Harrison River.
Absolutely the best place for couples.

Room Tip: We have stayed in the cabins both times and it is the best place for complete solitude.

My wife took me here on my Birthday and what a great trip. We stayed in the main house, this used to be the Pretty Families home from the 1920's and overlooks the Harrison River and the course...amazing. We stayed in Betty Anne's room and what an amazing patio to sit on and enjoy the complimentary cheese and wine.
Dinner is in the restaurant on the property, maybe a 20 yard walk, and was very good. The golf course is amazing, great views and very challenging from the blacks. Reasonable priced as well.
Breakfast included with a nights stay and we are not talking a buffet. Fruit and coffee and juice to start with a full menu to follow. Anything from an American breakfast to Eggs benny with smoked salmon...what a treat. This is a must visit, just 1.5 hours form Vancouver.

Room Tip: If you choose the main house get a room facing the river with the balconies. Betty Anne's room o...

Deep inthe Fraser Valley of south western British Columbia is the Pretty Estate Resort on the banks of the Harrison River. The Pretty family has owned the property sine the 1920s and it now boasts a glorious golf course, the River's Edge restaurant and Rowena's Inn on the River.
Today the inn is a luxury B&B but was the family mansion. It is huge, with spacious rooms filled with light and carefully acquired antiques. It has the feel of a bygone era of elegance and superb taste. The views from the inn are of the 15th fairway, the wild river, and snow-capped mountains.
Tucked in the trees nearby are four log cabins with Jacuzzi tubs for two, river rock fireplaces, and decks overlooking a lake. Ideal for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon.
Gourmet breakfasts are served in the solarium or brought to the cabins.
Service is quietly attentive and cheerful at the golf course, the restaurant, and the inn.
All three are open all year for individuals, corporate retreats and weddings.
Totally divine!

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the river.

We wanted a nearby weekend getaway and Rowena's Inn was the perfect near-cation. We arrived after dark to our cozy cabin, to a nice treat of a fresh cheese and fruit plate and 1/2 bottle of BC wine.

After a dip in the double soaker tub, and our first night in the king size bed we woke up to a glorious view through the trees overlooking the golf course and the Harrison River. It was so nice to be unplugged (no tv's, phone, or wireless in the cabin) and listen to the sounds of the many song birds outside. And then breakfast arrived! Wow, bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, toast, fresh baked muffins, fruit bowl, freshly squeezed orange juice, and of course...coffee! We were so stuffed we didn't eat lunch until 2.

We spent part of the day on a trail ride with Adrienne of Morris Valley Trail Rides, and had lots of fun seeing the scenery and riding great horses, Stormy and Tessa. We were even joined on our ride by the 7 ranch dogs. We didn't have time to golf, but will definitely be coming back to play the beautiful Sandpiper Golf Course. We didn't realize there was a private air strip, so it was fun to watch the golfers "fly-In" on plane and helicopter.

Thanks to owner Betty-Anne (her Mom is Rowena) for the excellent guided tour to share the amazing history of her family and the Inn. The inn itself is beautifully decorated with some unique antiques that all have a story of their own, like the dining room table that has hosted royalty and celebrities, or the bed that was custom designed for a famous opera singer, and the copper handrail from the original Hotel Vancouver. It really is a gem of BC history.

You definitely don't have to be a golfer to enjoy a relaxing stay at the inn, and there seems to be so much to see and do within driving distance, like Hemlock Mountain, the Chehalis River, the circle farm tour, Harrison Hot springs and so much more.

Thanks for a great near-cation! We really felt relaxed after our two nights a the Inn. We'll be back for some golf next time!
