We ordered burgers and salads and fries covered with cheese and gravy. Everything was very tasty and filling and reasonably priced.

We weren't sure where to eat in Grand Forks, but our motel room had a $5 voucher for the Grand Forks Station Pub so we decided to give it a try. We didn't want greasy diner food and were pleasantly surprised to see a bit more of variety on the menu: stir fry, pasta, wraps. Neat décor throughout the pub.

Sadly Grand Forks BC has a lack of open eateries on a Sunday night. The Grand Forks Station Pub - also known as the Columbia Grill upstairs of the pub for those with kids or who want to eat in a quieter environment than the pub - is one of the few open establishments on a Sunday evening.

We travel through Grand Forks frequently and so far have not found a restaurant that both remains in business and turns out consistently good food and service. Our recent visit to the Station Pub sadly did not break the trend.

As one of the few places open Sunday nights (downtown is all but completely shut down) the Station Pub was fairly busy. Upstairs patrons waiting to be seated were left standing at the top of the stairs for a long time - eventually I went to the pub to signal the staff to come serve several groups, including ours, who had been waiting.

Service sadly did not improve once seated. The staff make many passes through the room but were not effective at actually providing service to tables - often glancing right at our questioning faces and then running away. Bizarre.

The food was second rate. Cold appetizers that should have been hot. Borscht that was lukewarm at best. Cold burgers. It's as if our orders had been sitting in the kitchen for some time.

Our issues were not isolated events. Thanks to being seated in a small four-table dining room upstairs we were able to easily hear all the conversations between the other tables and their service staff. No one was happy that evening.

Next trip through Grand Forks we'll continue our search for a decent restaurant elsewhere.

My two daughters and I shared a few smaller dishes here which were good in the upstairs dining room, (only drinking age downstairs). The dining rooms upstairs are small and we were placed in a small room by ourselves away from others, it felt a bit like a re-purposed house. We were isolate from other diners. Overall the staff was very friendly. We were hoping for more ambiance with a station pub theme, and less like a house. It may be better if you can enjoy the pub downstairs.

Four of us were on a bike ride from Midway to Grand Forks. We finished the 51k ride at the Station pub. As we walked in the Waitress spotted us and brought us a pint of ice water each. She then took care of us through dinner. The food was great and the young waitress went above and beyond...thanks
