“Where are the goats?”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Was there on business and lucked out going Monday morning for breakfast. Stopped by on the weekend and way way way too crowded. I had great service Monday morning (quiet) but my salmon roll was a wee bit salty! staff was kind, the area very clean and loved the market (went shopping without the hordes). Excellent coffee bar in the same area - great choice of food and coffee. Wish so many people didn't know about you!!

“the market is a wonderful experience for anyone, every year it's improved and upgraded”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

I've lived in the area for almost 19 years now and The Old Country Market is still unique and special. The sod roof is the home for the 'Goats on the roof' and the market features 'stuff' imported from all over the world. The restaurant is cafeteria style - good homestyle food at reasonable prices in a great environment. Cuckoo's Restaurant in the complex is simply world class - a superior dining experience.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

Severely overpriced!!! Way too much money for a soup n sandwich. It was kind of dirty too. Don't really get the 'market'. Was thinking it would be local products, but it's mostly junk from china or ikea. Greatly disappointed. There weren't any goats on the roof yet.
Wouldn't go back.

“overpriced”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

Please note this is a review for the restaurant only. The Market itself is great. Actually the restaurant is OK, but I just expected so much more (food quality wise) for the price charged. With all the great cheeses and breads found in the deli part of the store, I'd have thought to get better than a slice of process and bland glutinous white bun with my grilled chicken burger (12.99). The restaurant is a cafeteria style, order at counter and choose your beverage, then the wait staff bring you your meal. Service is very efficient and friendly, and the patio section is all right I guess.
Next time I'll try somewhere else.

“Fun place”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

A fun market with lots to see and buy. Be warned that the goats are not on the roof until the long weekend in May. You can see them in their winter quarters behind the Cuckoo Restaurant.
