I apologize for not submitting this sooner but as we are preparing for this year's ski season, I would be remiss if I did not report on our experience at MWHS at the beginning of the year. We organized a group of 3 families and friends (14 in total) to spend five nights at MWHS. Only 4 members of the party had previous heli-skiing experience. The staff at MWHS were extremely accommodating and helpful. They organized cabins to accommodate the various sleeping arrangements and noted various diet restrictions…including celiac. The cabin rooms are rustic yet comfortable. During the week, everyone spent most of the time socializing in the main lodge where they offered a wide selection of hors d'oeuvres and snacks apres skiing and a fabulous dinner for the entire group in the evening. A full breakfast is also served in the main lodge in the morning. Hot lunches are provided for on the mountain in order to maximize the skiing experience. Dureing the lunch break on the mountain, all of the groups met up so it was great chance for the Moms to check in on the kids skiing in other groups. As mentioned, the meals are fantastic and even the hot lunches on the mountain accommodated all food restrictions. Make sure you let the staff know of any food preferences, they handle individual needs very well. The guides were very supportive of the newbies as we had a range of abilities in our group. The head guide, Barry, made sure that everyone had a great time. All adjustments to equipment and groupings were handled to everyone’s satisfaction. Barry and Jordan took the advanced skiers and they had one epic run after another. Scott and Brodie were All Stars!! They took the rookie ladies and by the end of the trip, Scott and Brodie had them dialed in…the ladies loved it!! This is good news for me because it means we are coming back. Everyone at MWHS (especially the guides!) understand the importance and value of good customer service…it was an incredible family vacation!! One cautionary note, drive safe and take your time as you make your way to Blue River, the highway is well maintained but black ice can be a problem during the winter months.More
