“Wonderful Place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

I stayed just the one night on the way north to Vernon. It is First Class! It is a little outside my normal price bracket, ( $220) but the view and the hot springs were an experience. Also I had a wonderful dinner in the Restaurant on the top floor overlooking the lake. A special treat!

Room Tip: Get a Lakeview room if you can.

Locals agree. Winter can be the best time to soak in the hot springs! The resort is open every day of the year and with seasonal room rates. Come for a visit when the weather cools down. You will love it even more.

We've been going to Ainsworth every few years for a long time, and were delighted at the room upgrades completed over the past year. New, very comfortable beds, nice duvets, updated bathrooms with nice amenities.

We stayed in one of the Non-View rooms to save money. They are small, but with all of the upgrades of the more expensive rooms and very very quiet. This was the best night's sleep of our vacation.

The Ainsworth Hot Springs are delightful. The hottest area is a U-shaped cave to walk/swim/scoot through, with a 8-10 person pool at the U ends. It also has a nice warm pool for longer soaks or swimming, as well as a cold plunge pool near the cave. We love it!!

Room Tip: For wonderful views, stay on the lake side. For a bit less money, stay in smaller rooms without a v...

What a great trip to the hot springs. Our room was so comfortable I was ready to move in. The bed was the best and we had everything we needed. We ate supper and breakfast at the hotel and both our meals were very tasty and the staff was great! I loved the hot springs and the cave was very neat to go into. We'll definitely be back although for 2 nights instead of 1.

Hot springs are great the caves are a real treat for a hot, hot soak. the restaurant is superb, the staff friendly , the rooms clean, but poorly sound proofed (could hear normal conversation of your neighbor). The view rooms are better, the none view rooms are no view at all. The rooms are on the small size .. but a worthwhile place to go... the view of Kootenay lake is fantastic .

Room Tip: Spend the extra and get a view room! go during Fall ,winter ,spring to really enjoy the hot springs.

What a great spot. The staff was pleasant, the rooms were nice (remodeled in 2012). Had a mini fridge in the room. The views were spectacular of Kootenay Lake and the surrounding mountains, the food was good at the restaurant as was the staff, and of course the Hot springs were really relaxing.

Visited Nelson many times over the years and coming to the Hot Springs is one of the highlights for me, I just love it here. This time we brought our twin granddaughters with us and they were so excited to go through the little horseshoe cave. We had a beautiful dinner in the hotel restaurant and later after our soak in the springs we ended the night with dessert in the restaurant as a treat for the girls. Can't wait for our next trip to this beautiful area to spend some time at the springs!
