The cabins are delightful. The decor has been thought out. Bedding matches the curtains, even a cute double horse shoe toilet paper holder.
That is about where the ambiance ends.
While checking in, my husband asked the woman at the store for the password for their "unlimited wireless internet" which was supposed to be included. She was very rude and begrudging.
Then when we finally did try to log on we could only hook up to their router, but the router to internet was "unavailable". We were informed that the internet connection would resume in the next month...... Really!?!
A note was stapled to our door stating,
"Our WIFI system does not allow enough capacity to stream movies and games. We are maxed out for the month and will be charged hugely for the extra"
But there was no discount offered for the lack of service for those of us that could not access our mail, or communications.
The bedspread was absolutely beautiful, but the bed itself provided a horrible sleep!
Yes, they have bbq pits, but you need to buy firewood from the store.... or scrounge around in the trees for some.
There is phones advertized in each unit. This is definitely not true. There was NO phone.
The optional fireplace in our unit was electric - but - Non Functional. Basically a pretty piece of furniture.
The pots/pans in our room had been over heated so bad that only 1-2" actually touched the 5" burner. Non of the mismatched pots have any lids. All plates and cutlery are mismatched.
There is a sign above the sink that states, "Please ensure all dishes are washed and put away before you check out. A $25 charge will be applied to your bill for any unwashed dishes."
This is all well and fine.
But, it would be nice if they double checked to see if the dishes and pans in the cupboards were actually washed!
I ended up pulling out the 5 plates, 4 bowls and 1 saucer.. along with the frying pans and washed them all before using them. After looking in the cutlery drawer I dumped all the silverware along with the tray into the sink and washed them all before use. And of course, after use as well. I didn't check the cups or glasses as we brought our own.
There is no room service. Maybe that was extra?
There is a general store with alot of stuff in it. But we decided to save some money and drove the short 8 km into town to pick up what we needed.
Everywhere you look there is a sign of how much extra you will be charged for whatever reason. This is after paying $150+ a night!
