Just returned from our first time skiing. You are never too old to take up any sport, this hotel was perfectly situated, and the very happy staff made us most welcome. Le Calgary in Les Saisies was ideal. The manager Mr Berthod greeting each of us personally to welcome us to his hotel.
One of us was a non skier but there were walks around the hotel and the hamam and spa facilities were more than accommodating. The food was varied and tasty and the cheese board meant that once returned home a serious cutting down of food intake was necessary. The warm and cosy rooms, both public and private made for a relaxing after ski melt down.
We would certainly return to this hotel and to the area of Savoire Les Saisies.

We spent a week at Hotel Calgary as part of a group Skiing trip. Didn't really expect it to be as nice as Whistler, but it was a Whistler on a smaller scale and very enjoyable. No tipping hints during the entire stay, which was very good. Excellent service during meals, room service also very good.

They charge ridiculous prices for a room per night just because they can. Not worth the money when you compare to first class leading hotels who cater for their guests out with the 'normal hours' I will spend my hard earned cash in Canada next time where I am sure amenities, location and service are next to nothing compared with a hotel who shuts down their kitchen to guests. Your not a 5* resort so why charge that kind of price for 3* Time to stop trading off your loyal guests of 20 years and get into the real world of hotel management.

Room Tip: If your looking for space for the price you pay forget it. The hotel looks nice from the outside but that's about it. Atmosphere is rubbish but on the good side they have a very established, well run restaurant down the rd called Les Arcades. Well worth the visit. I wrote this review based partly on the money this place charges, plus the management are so set in their ways, please go to Canada skiing instead as you will get better value for your money

This hotel has everything you need for a great skiing holiday. It is a short walk to a variety of ski slopes for all abilities. The bedrooms are warm and cosy and the lounge is an ideal place to meet friends and enjoy a per dinner drink. A five course meal is served complete with the hotel manager's large platter of at least twenty different local cheeses. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the middle of the village and has a good range of shops serving local delicacies.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have excellent views of the valley and the slopes.

We have stayed here a number of times and find the location of the hotel excellent for ski in ski out and also being at the top of the town it is a very position to just walk down in the evening. The food is good and the staff are all very friendly. the most notable feature of the meal is the excellent cheese selection, it had to be seen top be truly appreciated.
All rooms are well appointed but try for one on the front, the extra cost is worth it for the views of mountains and whole area.

Room Tip: Try for one on the front of the hotel
