The most good one! I'll start to tell you that the location is awesome! It's in the middle of everything-beach,pools,supermarkets, beachwalk, beach, shops,restaurants(food)...but not like the others..this hotel is really truly on the middle of it!:) the rooms are so big the servese is amazing the workers are so nice the food is very good.. (there is the bigest casino in varna for who are like it) and the best part of it-the hotel going to be bigger and even more great next august so I can't waittt!!!
I would like to tell you to go to the PR club too best time in goldensands there!:)

Varna Golden Sands and hotel International.
On 1.sep.2012 we were four days in Varna Golden Sands in hotel International.
Hotel Rated as 5 stars. Rooms are very spacious, and have a safe. The fee for the safe was 20 leva to the period. It's about 10 euro's. Standard shower with good Accessories, towels was no so good. The bath was separately from the toilet.
Our room had two large beds KING SIZE. All closets have only one drawer!
Even by the bed - no drawers.
Good and very quiet air condition.
Our room view was towards the sea and the promenade, and is very nice.
Staff was very kind and tries resolved problems as quickly as possible.
Beautiful pool and access to the pool is from the side of the Hotel.
Opposite the hotel was the beach - about 100 meters. Cross a small road and we are on the beach.
The prices for umbrellas were 5 leva - about 2 euro's, mattresses 3 leva - about 1.5 euro's and deck chair on 8 leva - about 4 euro's.
From the pool you can take a pool towel with deposit of 20 leva for towel.
Meals were not level of 5 stars hotel. Cheese is not always fresh, cakes you can pass up, and small selection of meats. You not stay hungry," but for the taste and smell cannot be argue". At least in end of the meal was good fruit. You cannot bring a drink from outside. You have to pay for the drink .The prices were at 1.sep.2012 was:
Beer- "Heineken" 5.9 leva, - Juice 3.5 leva, - Tea 2 leva, - Coffee from 2.5 to 4 leva.
You can eat lunch and dinner at the hotel's casino for 2 leva (about 1 euro). You have to register to casino in the casino hotel International near the casino entrance. Registration is free. No need to gamble. Go through the casino to the end - go up the stairs to the second floor where you pay for the meal. It is like a buffet dinner at the hotel.
The mini bar prices in the room was: mini bottle of whiskey 7 leva, vodka 5 leva, energy drink 7 leva, beer 3 leva, juice 3 leva, 0.5 liters of water -2 leva.
A price at the supermarket next door to the hotel was: juice -1 leva, beer- 2 leva, sodas -1 leva. The chocolates (chocolate LINDT- 5 leva) and spirits were cheaper here - than in the duty free prices. For example - Irish cream baileys (1 liter) liquor in duty free costs about 32$ and here about 21$.
The bus number 409 to Varna stop at the front of Moll Varna (don't confused with Grand moll) and ticket costs 3 leva. It takes about one hour. Walk to the bus station from hotel take about 10 minutes. This is first stop and you can find seats. But back to hotel, the bus is full and you have to stand all the way to the hotel. At the front of Moll Varna was a cab station and was 19 leva back to the hotel. Consider taking a taxi back, and if you are 4 people take a taxi from the hotel too. There were taxis that take an exorbitant price of 32 leva up from hotel to Moll Varna. The price was 20 leva only. If you do not find a taxi agree with the price - go to the bus station and take a taxi from there. The taxi ride takes about 20-25 minutes.
Warning!!! Pickpocket in buses! They go in pairs or with a small child, and when the child makes himself falling and someone tries to help him up, they pickpocket him. Our travel these four women together and local residents warned us to keep things and wallets safe.
The promenade has facilities for children. The prices were 5 leva each. Cars collide, huge wheel, there are a facility springboard and more.
When we checked prices boardwalk shops, the prices of shoes and clothes were the same price in Moll Varna.
If you love good cakes so go to hotel Admiral (on the promenade close to hotel International) and there's a selection of delicious cakes at about 5 leva for the cake.
For young and young at heart there is a club called "Arrogance" with three rooms with different types of music. The club is on the way to the bus on the right side of the road. Admission was 8 leva.
Exchange rate in September 2012 was:
1 USD = 1.52 leva
1 Euro = 1.92 leva
1 Pound Sterling = 2.38 leva
We exchanged money at a hotel or in a certified changer. Difference between hotel and changer was the 4-6 leva for 100 $.
Warning!!!!
Do not exchange money in the street. They give old leva and they have no value!
Have a nice vacation.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room. Outside noise was disturbing.

We just returned yesterday after staying from 26/7 - 2/8 2012. Suggest others read petluvr07 review it helped us to prepare - with earplugs. We asked in advance for sea view room on high
floor from Marina Elfimova in the Marketing Dept and she said if possible we would be allocated one. Thank you many times once again Marina. The rooms were as advertised and spotlessly clean even
though the furniture in sitting area had seen better times. Admittedly the TV was not 72" with
surround sound but the the picture and sound could be perfectly enjoyed from the beds. The only complaints about room were the music from dischotecques etc which continued to after 0200 *BRING EARPLUGS*, and the reading lamps on the bed's headboard which are not user-friendly. The swimming pool is exterior but didn't see any dogs swimming in it!!
The food - ah the food, was abundant in quantity, excellent in quality, and choices to please
every palate. Just a minor word of warning if you leave food on restaurant balcony tables be prepared for the seagulls to also enjoy your meal!!!
The Hotel staff were very courteous and work long shifts to make your stay enjoyable. In the unlikely event of any complaints you might have, TELL & EXPLAIN to the receptionists, do not shout. Nelia Zhekova with her captivating smile is never tired to help!!!
Would I stay at the International again - DEFINITELY!!!!
Enjoy your vacation and don't forget to tip the waitresses.
A.B.A.

Room Tip: Try to get room on higher floor - above 10th. Sea view better view but more noise. Contact hotel in...

i have beent in "Grand Hotel & Casino International" in Varna, Golden sands for one week.
it was 5* hotel and it has a big casino.
but it hasn't a happy atmosphere and you can use your room and restaurant of hotel. the quality of rooms and foods are really good but it was good for old people go there.
for youths and teenager it is really boring beeing there. no animation team, no yard for gathering at night, no relationship between the residents...
as i felt, all of the elderly enjoyed that calm place and like this hotel but for youths and teenager it is not a good place. i found some friends in other hotel and i went to their hotel and enjoy their parties. just for sleeping i came back to my room.
actually i think that this place was a good and big CASINO not a good hotel and owners focus on their casino business.

Room Tip: i was in a sea view room and the view of the black sea was good. i think it was better than park vi...

Many websites that provide a detailed description of the hotel are inaccurate, so read my comprehensive review so you know what to expect. (General pros and cons indicated by + and -, and worst parts about hotel are at the end.)
I stayed at the International hotel with my boyfriend Sept. 19-22, 2011 through a cheap last-minute deal.

About the room: The double room is 35 sq. meters (according to their website) and has couches, a desk, phones, safe, minibar, a TV, closets, a lavatory room, separate bath/shower room, 2 large single beds (big enough at ~120 cm x 200 cm, but not queen size as their website claims), individually-controlled A/C, and a beach-view window the length of the wall.
Review of room:
(+)Impressive and spacious;
(+)Beautiful bathroom;
(+)Great view of sea and attractions, both day and night.
(+)Nice lounge area with couches
(+)Plenty of closet space to hang clothes BUT no shelves or dressers (-);
(+)After we pushed the beds together to make a king size it was big and comfortable.
(+)There is a phone on the desk and one next to the bathtub, BUT none next to the bed! (-)
(-)No kettle in the room.
(-)Faucet water smells slightly sulfurous, BUT it will make your skin and hair incredibly smooth and soft- take a long hot bath and you’ll feel afterwards that you had a spa treatment! (+++)

Review of hotel services and amenities:
(+)Friendly reception and someone is always available at the desk.
(+)The meals were buffet style and had a wide selection to choose from. (+)Breakfast was great (except for the “juice”), but dinner wasn’t amazing (-).
(-)When paying in currency other than Leva they do take a commission, so it’s better to find a low-commission place to exchange money before spending money at the hotel.
(-)The pool has no privacy- it’s only accessible from outside the hotel, it’s right next to the street, and it isn’t gated (a dog could jump in if it wanted to). You’re not allowed to bring a room towel or your own drink to the pool (which has its own bar). You have to leave a deposit in order to get a pool towel. The pool is also quite small (but at least it looks nice and was clean).
(+)Free shuttle to the mall in Varna, but it’s very infrequent and the ride takes about an hour (according to reception)(-).

What really bothered me (-----):
1) Wi-fi costs money (20 Leva for 3 days) and can only be used with one device at a time.

2) The hotel discourages use of your own electrical devices in their rooms- they even mention it in the information papers provided. Outlets used by their appliances (lamps, TV, minibar) are either hidden or completely blocked off. The only 2 usable outlets are at the entrance to the room and in the bathroom (on the hairdryer), which is where I had to charge my phone since there is no outlet next to the bed.

3) We heard very loud music from the boardwalk until at least 3 AM, even from the 5th floor. If you don’t plan to be out all night partying, make sure to bring very good earplugs and try to get a room on a very high floor.

4) The TV is all the way across the room from the beds and isn’t nearly big enough, and almost every channel is dubbed so the only channels in English were the music channel and one with old black-and-white movies. If you are coming with children ask for channel censorship since there are 2 porn channels.

5) At dinner they make you pay for drinks. You can’t even have water for free and they won’t let you bring your own drink to dinner.

6) The casino does not offer much for first-time gamblers without a lot of money. They have no poker or blackjack tables for small betting- the minimum is 5 Euros per hand. If you want to play Texas Hold’em against other players the minimum buy-in is 100 Euros. The only games you can spend time playing without risking a lot are the slot machines and video poker (25 Euro cents per play).

Other good things to know:
1) There is a public bus to and from the airport every 15 minutes or so and the ride takes about an hour (so I’m told). You can also take a taxi from the airport for 30 Leva which takes about 30 minutes, but a taxi from the hotel to the airport costs 70 Leva! (-)
2) There is a small supermarket right next to the hotel and several along the boardwalk.
3) The hotel itself is in a great location if you plan to spend your vacation on the beach, boardwalk, bars, and/or in the casino. However if you want to spend time in the city of Varna, the location of the hotel is about as far away as you can get.

Room Tip: Get a room on a very high floor to avoid hearing loud music from the boardwalk all night.
