After arranging a quick break away, naturally hotels book up quickly and as this was one that fitted our budget and as it had the dates available we booked it. Excitement lingering the next step was to check here "trip advisor" I just wish I had been sensible enough to realise that this hotel marked by one person as "fawlty towers" was definitely not the place to be going. However, holiday booked off we went...
Let's say I am sooooo glad we arrived under the cover of darkness (out of pure embarrassment if nothing else) - the pavements leading to the hotel were far from safe (definitely not a place for a family with young children).
The pool had certainly seen better days (but served its purpose and the life guard was friendly enough - happily chatting to all and sundry).
The look and smell of the food was disgusting so needless to say we did not eat there choosing to dine out instead (we could eat out for less than £15.00 each night with drinks for 2 of us), local bars are friendly although I did get somewhat argumentative as we were constantly hounded by people trying to coax us into their diner.
Anyway back to the topic, the lifts were not safe (disabled one on the other hand was fine) mainly resembelling a cupboard where the door slams behind you and you can feel and the wall on the inside - there were a few scrapes using the lift when we were there. We had no air conditioning so it was boiling. The shower didn't work, but credit where it's due it was fixed the following day. Staff were friendly and I can honestly say if it hadn't been for the receptionist I would have checked straight back out possibly taking the option to sleep on the loungers by the pool (but choose carefully as many are cracked or broken).
The on site shop is smaller than my utility room but looking back served its purpose selling beer, soft drinks, sweets, crisps and a souvenir or two, but again staff were friendly.
If I had taken my son there would have been no way on this earth we would have stayed.
Just one last thing this hotel has single pane windows and s located at one of the furthest points from the beach - even so, you can hear music from the nightclubs 21 hours each day, the only time it stops is between 9m and 11am. So very noisy.
So, in short a very worn, outdated, unsafe hotel - but with lovely staff.
More suitable for youngsters looking for a cheap place to put there head and have a wash..
Would I go again...?
I Loved Bulgaria but hated this hotel...!!!
I actually cried myself to sleep the first night here as I was so upset that the tour operator rated this hotel so highly...?!!!
Never again ...!!!
