“Recommendable for 24 hour Party ...”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

It is recommendable, if you like 24 hour Party and if you do not need to sleep during Night, due there was Party all arround the Clock. Room was nice outfitted, but our Kitchen doesnt work correctly (dangerous). Servicestaff could be also friendlier.
Cleaning was not suffiecient.

Although this Hotel looked good in Internet, we will never (never!!!) go there again, due the horrible Service. After the second night there, we did checked out and went into other Apartmenthotel, due we could not sleep, because all night was very loud Partymusic and the Walls have been thin like Paper. How somebody can build a new Hotel, but then in such bad condition???

HOTEL/POOL/RESTAURANT/CACAO BEACH

Just came back from a 2 week holiday from the Rainbow 3 Complex at Sunny Beach - to begin with I would like to point out that you shouldn't go by the pictures on the site as they are a lot nicer than the actual rooms, however saying that the apartments are very clean and are still luxury but designed in a more simple way than how are portrayed on the site so I would definately reccomend!!

To start of with the pool, amazing instead of your standard pool chairs there were white leather beds which were REALLY comfortable and spacious, music at bar was very nice and mellow, hammacs which was a nice touch. Me and my boyfriend actually preferred to stay at the pool as Cacao Beach was only a 5 min walk but it had extremely loud music and was packed out so if you prefer a more relaxing atmosphere I would not recommend this Beach - also for 2 chairs and a MUST HAVE umbrealla 24 Lev ( INSTEAD go to Elenite resort only a bus ride away from the bus stop on the main road only 3 Lev, worth going to amazingly beautiful and relaxing beach).

The restaurant in the hotel was really nice as the food was good and affordable I would recommedn the pizzas and the Schnitzel! Average dinner was roughly 25-30 Lev which is around £10!!

GETTING BY FROM THE HOTEL/LOCATION

Location was excellent as Rainbow is based on border line between Sunny Beach and Nessebar resort so it is easy to visit both - not in the busy bit but near enough to go to every night it's literally a 10 min walk to the centre just cross the road and turn left in the alley bit keep going straight till you see bars and restaurants.

I would recommend NOT to use cabs as they will rip you off unless you are a local or are going with someone who speaks bulgarian - they definately say different prices to tourists, tops where the cabs are parked opposite on the main street it is 3 lev pp and it takes you straight into the Sunny Beach centre where all the restaurant, bars and clubs are OR you can get the train into the other direction and go to Nessebar resort which is lovely as well more historic and is great for sightseeing or a bit of shopping very nice restaurants facing the sea!

Restaurants me and my boyfriend loved and would recommend are The House, Bansko and the Greek Giros all based in Sunny Beach Centre!

In terms of nightlife I would recommend The Corner and Grand both in Sunny Beach again. You must visit The Corner bar which you will definately love it's like a Silent Party you can ask the waitress for headphones which have 3 stations you can listen to bulgarian, house or rnb music VERY cool and it's quite cheap a bottle of Russian Standard with 4 Red Bulls is 69 Lev which is about £30. Grand is also good and has a free transportation bus which I am sure you will come across - it has 2 entrances once for bulgarian music and one for mainstream rnb and house quite a cool club again!

If you are looking for a more relaxing atmosphere in terms of a nice classy bar I would recommend bar Luxury based at Sunny Beach centre ask someone for directions as it is away from the main streep and on the actual beach - entertaining dancers and a cool place to chill out at before you go out IDEAL if you are going with a partner.

Please NOTE: when paying for things keep track of your money as the staff will try to tip themselves.

Overall a great holiday - lovely hotel and entertainment but have in mind that staff and people in general can be quite rude definately worth a visit as you don't need much spending money and are guaranteed to have a good time.

Being bulgarian myself I can say people have always been rude as their mentality is different but definately go... you will have a good time!

If you insist on getting a cab an acceptable price from the hotel to Sunny Beach is between 8-10lev and to Nessebar 15 lev.

Apologies for the typo below for some reason it would not let me correct it - was trying to say instead of cabs take the little tourist train that stops where the cabs are parked when you cross the street opposite a good alternative to cabs.

Enjoy!!!!!

I made the reservation on line as the pictures of the hotel site and the rooms looked amazing. Unfortunately when we got there we found out that the looks of the room and hotel were greatly altered as in reality they didn’t look anything close to them! After a few minutes on the phone with the booking agency, I managed to cancel the reservation however the manager of the hotel wasn’t very cooperative in regards to not charging us the cancelation fee of 20 euro! He was yelling and screaming about how they are the cheapest hotel and we won’t find anything else cheap around there but never addressed the misrepresentation of the pictures! It was a total disaster but luckily we managed to go a bit south and found much better accommodations at a much better price! Save yourself the headache and don’t book with them.

Room Tip: Book a place when you get there

We stayed in the rainbow 2 for 2 weeks. The staff were very unhelpful. We asked to purchase the Wi-Fi and extra kitchen equipment and were told multiple times to ‘come back later’, we never got either. For the first week our room was cleaned, by the second week the sheets weren’t being changed, the bed wasn’t being made and we weren’t receiving clean towels. Whenever we had a shower the bathroom flooded, we had read in a previous review about this but presumed it was a once off but it was not. At the end of our stay, we checked out at 12 but our flight was at 10pm, we asked would they hold the luggage and they refused.
The hotel was located half way between Sunny Beach and Nessebar, taxis are 10lv each way. The hotel had 3 good swimming pools. The mini golf course was not maintained and not worth the 10lv each.
Overall the hotel was unsatisfactory, the staff were rude and extremely unhelpful.

We have been really surprised about our Stay there, because in Internet, the Rainbow 3 Apartment was really nice and had a great Design. And that was true! but thats all of the good things!. We never have seen such a horrible Staff, as we have seen in that Hotel. No Greeeting, no Smiles. guest asked them something and they tried everything to ignore it. Our appartment was nice decorated, but then we saw that the Refrigator doesnt worked (in Summer!) and the Couch was defect. The Walls are so thin, that we could hear every noise in the night and could not get Sleep!!! Why they build such nice styled hotel, but do it so cheap Construction??? We really had the Impression that they built the hotel for any other Causes, but not to accomodate Guests there!
