Staying here currently. So good booked extra nights.
Lovely clean apartment spacious with comfy beds, good kitchen area and sunny balcony.
Plenty sun beds at pool. Friendly staff.
Quiet area close to beach and supermarkets and eateries over road.
Glorious weather. Great value.
Not too noisy, but expect this can vary dependant on guests. Good parking.

I just love staying at Julia Family Apartments, this is my third year and stayed for 14 nights this time. The apartments are large, have everything you need, good housekeeping service, and really friendly and efficient staff. I love the fact it is away from the centre so is peaceful at nights, but the Cocao Beach is just 10 minutes walk, or 25 minutes to town. There is a good bus service to Sunny Beach Town or Nesebar Old Town, and the train runs past the top of the road, and only costs 3 lev one way. There is good secure parking on site, as well as a great pool with sun loungers and an on site small store. I will never stay anywhere else in Sunny Beach as for me this place is perfect.

Booked on line, very reasonable £12 a night for a nice basic apartment. It is a 3 star so don`t expect 5 star luxury, but the apartment is great for cheap self catering holidays in Sunny Beach.
Location is not too bad, between Sunny Beach and Nessebar, and there is a bus stop just across the main road and 100m to the right. The public transport is great and 5 stops later you are in the centre of Sunny Beach (about 3km). Cost of the bus? 1.30 Levs each which is about 50p. Taxis will try to charge 20-25 Levs, but really they`re trying it on, if you just say 10 Lev then they will do it for that.
A little further to the right is the bus stop by the stadium and for the same price you can get the bus to Nessebar old town which is well worth a visit (cheapest restaurants there are the ones in the centre - you pay more for a sea view).
We were on the 5th floor and had 2 balconies, one overlooking the pool and one looking out to the countryside at the rear.
The rooms are a very good size, with just some of the decor letting down the overall experience. We had a slight problem with ants and half the bulbs didn`t work on arrival, but this was reported to reception and all sorted that day.
Maid service was patchy, but maybe because we are late risers so put do not disturb signs out sometimes, having said that, bedding and towels were changed about every 3-4 days. They didn`t seem to clean the floors at all during our stay.
Reception staff very informative and helpful, always happy to point you in the right direction for buses or recommend local restaurants.
The free Wi-fi was available in our room as well and a pretty good stable connection. Added bonus was that there was a free safety deposit box which we used in reception and free air conditioning in the main room of the apartment.
Overall a fab holiday and very impressed with the apartment for the very low cost, would definitely recommend the Julia Family apartments as a great base for Sunny Beach and Nessebar.

Room Tip: Higher floor seem to have bigger balconies at the rear

We stayed here recently for 4 nights, and the apartments were the best I've stayed in. Very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we are already looking at going back next year.
The only thing, is its quite far to walk to the Center, but you can get a cab for 20 Lev which is around £7 and takes around 10 minutes, or walk round the corner and jump on the train which costs 3 lev a person.

Just visited Borgas, Bulgaria for one week with my girlfriend and her family and must say the hotel (self-catering apartment) was a very friendly, family, place to stay. Very affordable. The maids kept the place clean and tidy everyday, providing clean towels, and the receptionist gave us free bicycles to use. The food in the restaurant below was adequate but nothing to write home about and the swimming pool was too small, easily overcrowded and cold most of the time. It was enough for daily (early morning/late evening) swims though.

Borgas in general is a pleasant holiday destination, but once you have visited the nessebar area and beach I can see how some people could easily become bored. The shops for example are just bakeries, tourist gift shops, supermarkets, overpriced restaurants and pizza/kebab stalls. I was expecting more entertainment such as fun fairs, amusement arcades, big parks and playing areas, but there weren't any. The action acquapark was okay, but not the best I have been to. I think Borgas concentrates too much on apartments and not on entertainment. It is very dense with hotels and apartments for example. If Borgas concentrated on building a big park and leisure centre for the whole family that might makes things more appealling....

Room Tip: hotel was nice and quiet, close to the swimming pool, close to shops
