For the last 3 years we have been to Palace Hotel and love it, every year there are many improvements to the hotel, just arrived back this week was on 9th floor maid brilliant lovely clean room everyday adding extra touches likes towels shape of boats and top sheet in fan on bed. We had sea view room and watching sunrise and sunset was brilliant over the sea and hearing the waves. Food always found something to eat as fussy eaters we are, service in hotel is brilliant. For those who have moaned about bathroom this is not uk and our plumming systems its Bulgaria's, and you do not live in the bathroom small amount of personal care that is all.
To all staff, so lovely and look forward to seeing you all again hopefully next year.

First time in bulgaria and it will not be the last but we will never stay in this hotel again. The room was very small, the toilet which was a wet room, becuse it had a shower head in it was also small. The bedding was only changed once while we were there for the week and that was the day before we were leaving and the towels were also only changed once. I know that you cannot expect to get the best in food when you are abroad, I never expect the ritz, but because I have stayed in a few hotels over the years abroad, the food was awful. Four choices and one of them is chips (luke warm). People who had stayed there before also commented about the hotel. The food that you pay extra for though was not bad although I only purchased an omelette there. The food outside in the bars and restaurants are absolutely gorgeous and very cheap and I recommend the emona restaurant which if you go out through the gardens of the hotel and turn right to walk down the strip, it is the second restaurant on the right just past the shops etc, but there are quite a few good ones anyway, that are cheap for food and drink.

Room Tip: 1202 is on the 12th floor and on the end of the building so the balcony is tiny and the room is smal...

I stayed here with 2 friends in aug, the hotel is in an ideal position, all the public areas are spotless, but i,m, afraid that my room was not !! i was on the 8th floor with a side view, it was a decent size room but the maid service let it down, she did not do much cleaning at all in my room, the wetroom is well overdue a makeover, and the only cleaning it got during my stay was when i cleaned it after a shower, i had to ask for clean towels, and on one occasion i took 2 myslef from her trolly, there was sand on the floor the whole of my stay, which only says to me that she hadnt swept the floor. i have to say that other people i spoke to said that their rooms were fine, so maybe it was just the maid that was doing my room that were at fault.
Its a shame that this let the hotel down, because apart from that the hotel is fine, the food is ok, but repetative, but it is so cheap to eat out , that we didnt mind that so much, as for the staff, i coudnt go as far as to say they were fantastic, they were pleasent enough, but there was no interaction from them, they served you and that was it, apart from Nash, Tedi and mike, who always took time to ask how things were and make conversation, perhaps the rest should look at how they are with the guests.
The outside area is quite nice, a small pool area, and garden, but it is clean and tidy, the Kareoke bar was good, just a pity that it has to go inside at midnight, yet bars around are still banging out the music till late.
Overall i would go back here, but i would like to see some improvements to the room,s in particular the wetroom, i,m not the type who spend a lot of time in the room, but i do like the toilet/ shower area to be clean,

There were 8 of us went to this hotel age from 17 to 62. We all had a fab time.

Room
The rooms were lovely and clean. Beach and pool view. The bathrooms could do with updating. The maid came in everyday to clean. If you place the towels on the floor they will change them. If you hang them up they don't.

Pool
The pool was small but nice. We never really had an issue getting sunbeds but did get them before 9am. Some people started to put their towels on from 7am.

Restaurant and Bar
The food was ok ediable but I always find this in buffet style hotel on most holidays I have gone on. Always something to eat. My dad is really fussy so there was a couple of occasions that he struggled to find something. The bar is open 24 hours and the staff are great. We also ate out a few time there's alot of nice restaurant to choose from.

Reception
Reception staff were great and were really helpful if we were going out and advising us on transport ect... Especially the young lady. Safety deposit boxes are located at reception and are 5 levs a day to hire.

Location
The location is excellent, right on the beach near shops and bars ect... Young people may want to choose a hotel more near flower st 20 mins walk away as thus is where the noisier night life is. But it was ideal for us and still plenty going on

Trips
We booked our trips through the little excursion place just next to the front of the hotel rather than through the rep and saved quite a bit money. We went to khans tent, bulgarian night, aquapark (nessebar) and the off road adventure. They were all well worth the price. We also jumped on the bus to nessebar which was really nice, to the circus and to the marina.

This was our first time to Bugaria and will not be our last. It's a lovely location with plenty to do for all ages.

Back again to this hotel and had a brilliant 2 weeks at the Hotel Palace and have already booked to go next year with more family members. Where do i start:
When arrived the woman on reception was quick with our check in and straight to our rooms as it was 3 o clock in the morning we just wanted to settle in. Both rooms had a sea view and pool side. Rooms are comfy and a nice size with a wet room bathroom but you expect that for 3 star but a few adjustments would make this a 4 star easy. Maids never stopped cleaning day and night and were very friendly even though they didnt speak english. Food could be better but was eatable and it was cheap enough to go out and eat, Salt n pepper and the steak house was lovely and cheap. The bar staff are all fantastic, very friendly and would wait hand and foot for you. Cant wait to go back next year, please come quick !!!!

first holiday i had booked online wanted a cheap holiday in the sun so was a bit concerned especially as had a very bad holiday the year before in turkey.Arrived very late early hours of the morning to be precise and there were cleaners cleaning in the foyer at like stupid o clock in the morning. The young lady behind the desk was very helpful and had all our details ready for us so check in was done very quick.Room was small but moe than adequate for the 2 of us and clean our balcony looked right over the beach shower and toilet were small but do able and clean. When we got up to go down to breakfast there were still cleaners cleaning amazing the floors shone staff were very friendly and food was good sometimes a bit repetative as we stayed for 11 nights but have found that wherever we go that some meals are repeated.Pool was small adn not many sun loungers but hey the beach was like 20 metres away so who cares,The only one thing i moaned about was the entertainment of an evening wa the same man sitting in the garden singing along with his computer but there was karaoke in the marquee/gazebo bit but we wondered off and found some nice little bars especially the irish bar situated just off the fairground square. There are lots of jelly fish so didnt swim very much just had paddles but was a fantastic holiday and the hotel was small compared to some was very friendly and spotless guve it a try

Room Tip: ask for room at the front facing straight on to the beach fantastic views and going to sleep listeni...

We recently returned from 4 nights at the Palace hotel booked with Thomas cook.
We were expecting basic as this hotel is a 3 star, but the bathroom, maid service and food let this hotel down so much that I couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
The room was a 'wetroom' style, a very small room with toilet, sink and handheld shower with no shower tray or ventilation which left the room wet, and covered in mould. The drain plug in the middle of the floor was very mouldy, and the shower hose was mouldy and covered in thick limescale.
On the second day the toilet stank really badly of a drains type smell, we had to close the door it was so bad, and use the toilets in reception. The maid sprayed the room, and left us an industrial strength air freshener and that made it bearable.

The actual bedroom was ok, it was basic as we expected. The bedding was clean. The floor was always covered in sand, even when we arrived. The maid folded the towels and sheets, but did not change them. Even when I had dropped the towel accidentally on the mouldy drain, and left it by the sink to be changed, the maid refused to change it, and told me to dry it on the balcony. The mini fridge had the last occupants half eaten chocolate bars and half bottle of pop.
I dont know what the maid actually did, but nothing was clean when she left, things were just moved around abit.

Most of the staff members were great (except for one woman on reception). The bar staff were brilliant.

The food in the hotel buffet was very poor, very little choice and low quality food. We ate out every night (which we didn't mind as we wanted to get out and about)and had some great meals at Djannys, Salt and pepper, Chilli peppers, Neptun.
We really liked the resort, the beach is lovely and the bars and restaurants are so cheap.
We had a great break, but I wish we had chosen a different hotel.
