we stayed here for a night during our round trip in Sri lanka. It all started with 'Zero expressions' staff.... Forget about a smile.
The property is outstanding with a super view.. but unfortunately is terribly managed. The staff seems to be least interested in guests and their lack of interest contributes heavily to the deserted look of the hotel.. its extremely gloomy...
Rooms are HUGE.. but badly maintained.. most of the things in the room especially in the bathroom are rusted...
now for the most worst part.... since the occupancy was low.. we were not offered the buffet.. which we were OK with.. but then even with the a la carte menu.. there was no choice at all.. it was like.. "this is what we will give, eat it". The food was very basic.. rather bad...1 soup, 1 salad which was full of onions, one main course which was badly cooked and basic fruits which were not even ripe as desert... there was no point in booking a HB plan..we could have rather gone outside to have a nice buffet @ 1300 LKR.
The only good thing was, we wanted some veg food which they gave.
Coming to basic amenities... TV has only 9 channels and only 2-3 english... add to that.. WIFI works ONLY IN THE MAIN LOBBY. So with no TV, no wi-fi and nothing to read.. we sat in the main lobby till 11 pm.
Then we reached out to our travel company who made some calls and next day... we got some things to eat for breakfast.. once again no buffet and limited choices.
overall.. i would recommend people NOT TO WASTE MONEY HERE.. its a BAD place.
