Quality Inn & Suites Jamestown

We were on our way back from Bozeman and landed at the Quality Inn. For a Sunday night with minimal guests I felt they could have bargained a bit on the price, but were unwilling. This hotel is in need of an upgrade as the carpets, drapes, and bathroom all were suffering a good deal of wear. The smell of chlorine in the pool area was so significant I had a hard time watching the kids swim- the hot tub was colder than the slide pool. The heater unit in our room cycled on and off almost every two minutes and was quite loud making it rather difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good and fresh. When we went to check out I had to look for an employee to assist us. Once she was found she was pleasant and helpful.

We found a dirty towel and washcloth in the crevice of a chair our first day there. Told the front desk and they discounted our room. Our sheets were not changed daily. Housekeeping was mediocre. They do allow pets and were very accommodating but lacked a bit on the cleanliness. We stayed there during a hunting trip so it worked out ok but if I was traveling through without a pet I would stay elsewhere.

Paper thin walls combined with high prices this place is definitely out to exploit the shortage of motels in Western North Dakota. The oil boom has created an incentive to cash in on demand. I was told there were no rooms on the first floor when I checked in but they were far from full. Could hear every conversation of every passerby in the hall way and was awake at 2AM by someone filling cooler from the ice machine. For 110 bucks this place was dreadful.

As a business traveler and member of another hotel group, while on business travel I was placed in the hotel. To my surprise the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and the bar was rowdy...no issues! I did however, observe my traveling peers comment on how weak the breakfast bar was, the coffee system being of a liquid coffee station. One would think that with travelers, most prefer a clean room, comfy bed and a nice breakfast option. This establishment was lacking only in the breakfast station. Even on one of the days, it appeared that they had run out of eggs so the travelers could only enjoy high carb selections such as breads/muffins/dry cereal, etc. With that in mind, I skipped their offerings and got my coffee on the road. In summation, if you are looking for a clean, comfy rooms with a friendly staff, you may find this place acceptable. Enjoy!

We were astounded by the low cost for what we recieved when staying here. We stayed in a suite that slept 6 without a kitchenette. We were using this hotel as a rest stop on our way through, but decided to stay one extra night to give the kids a break from driving as well as a chance to use the waterslide.

The breakfast was great, and the staff was very pleasant, and on top of keeping the food stocked well.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and it was awesome having two full bathrooms. The only complaint/suggestion I would make, is to put an actual door in the doorway between the rooms in the suite. It would make putting the kids to bed earlier a little easier. It would be a very cheap, yet effective improvement to the suite.

My kids spent pretty much the entire day after breakfast and before dinner in the pool. It was an awesome and much needed break! The rates alone were worth the hour longer in the car from Fargo.

Room Tip: When choosing a restaurant, I would strongly suggest La Carreta! Its a small restaurant in the str...

We were traveling to WA and OR and stopped here for our first stop. What a great place! Check in was easy and very friendly. Our room was HUGE and we had an extra nook with a couch, table, tv etc. If I remember right, it pulled out into a sofa bed,but we didn't use it.
Pool was amazing, perfect temp for a pool and waterslide was fun! The kids, hubby and I went down it multiple times. There's no lifeguard, so just just watch over the top of it to make sure the person ahead of you is done before you start. :) Hot tub was under repair, but that was okay.
Pool area open until 11.
I was a little surprised our room didn't have a map on the door, like so many do and there wasn't any type of "welcome to our hotel" booklet or binder in the room. But, no worries, I called the front desk to ask how late the pool was open and what time breakfast was.
Nice size bathroom too.
Breakfast area is quite large and has everything you want. The attendant was very "on the ball". She had a tough job that morning, there was a tour bus down there the same time we were, but we didn't have any trouble finding a place to sit and there was no shortage of food. Waffles, biscuits, cereals, juice, fruit, bagels, toast, pastries etc...wonderful!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again if traveling out this way.
