first of all DM does not compare with the larger casinos in the metro ares but for al smaller casino away from large cities, it is OK.

We stayed there one night as part of a quick get away and enjoyed it. The hotel is nothing spectacular but with the players card it fairly cheap. Our room was king NS. It was clean and we found the bed comfortable. It had a newer TV.

We did the buffet which was again nothing spectacular but was OK. Breakfast in the morning was good. Service started off slow as the waitress missed us coming in. Once she knew we were there, service was really good

The actual casino is a bit on the smaller side compared to some but we found plenty of machines to play. We weren't expecting to win and we didn't. We did get a few hits to play for most of the night and still kept about half our bankroll.

The bar is attached to the casino which was great. If you wanted a break, it was only a few seconds walk from the casino floor

We do enjoy this casino and will be back. This sounds weird but DM does have a comfy factor to it

My husband and I stayed her while on a trip for business. We received a reasonable rate on our King NS room. It was nothing fancy, but was very clean. The bed was quite hard and because of this, we would not stay more than one night at a time. We ate in the restaurant in the morning, but they seemed very short staffed, as there was only one waitress to wait on 7 tables at 7am. The food was pretty good, however. I'm not sure we will stay again, because of the beds.

We spent 1 night at Dakota Magic in early September 2012. It was a Monday so it was quiet and not very busy in the hotel rooms or casino. We never ate while there so can't comment on the food. We thought the casino was attractive, with lots of slot machines. I can't remember our room # but it was a 2queen, smoking room on the main floor, near the reception desk. The room was very attractive, spacious, clean and quiet & the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the price, about $75 with 10% discount for having a club member card. There were no freebies, promotions or coupons. We usually find that rooms at casinos are cheaper than this. Overall, we thought the service was good, efficient & friendly. We enjoyed our stay here, and would stay again. Hopefully we're able to get a better room rate next time.

We just got back from our overnight getaway at the Dakota Magic Casino & Hotel. We checked into the whirlpool suite (very clean), went gambling, ate at the buffet (average), and went back to the room to sit in the whirlpool. At about 10:00 pm we decided to call it a night and went to bed. The room next to us decided it was time to party. They were slamming doors, banging on the walls, and there was a crying baby over there while all of this was going on. It went on until 3 am! I don't think they were actually staying at the hotel. I think it must have been an employee or an employees friend just using the room until they were done with their little party. In the morning we even found a straw they must have pushed under the connecting door. Needless to say we did not get much sleep. Hopefully the manager will look into this. We were in room 273. Room 275 had the party.

We went with a bunch of friends. We had a very nice time. We didn't spend a lot of time in the bar because we were sick of drinking by the time we got to the hotel. The bar looked very nice and they had a band playing that particular night we stayed. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The buffet was very good. The prime rib was very good. The breakfast buffet was also very good. We had a very short night because the bed were so hard it felt like we were sleeping on a pile of the rocks.

Room Tip: Schedule appointment for chiropractor before leaving so you don't have to wait forever to get in...

Spent one night with my sister for a small get away. Double queen room was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Front desk staff was efficient and friendly, check in was smooth. We had an early dinner/appetizers at the grill in the golf club. Service was good. Nice place to have a bite and drink away from the casino. Listened to some pretty good live music and enjoyed more cocktails at the lounge. No luck for either of us at the slots or roulette, but we've come to expect that!! The lack of luck won't keep us from returning, however. We both had a fabulous time. The room rate was decent for what we were looking for. My only suggestions for improvement would be: Small certificate for "free" play on checking in, ($10bucks at the slots would be a nice amenity for staying on property), pool/hot tub would be nice, and on-line reservations would be handy. Overall, nice stay though. We will return.

We have more to say about the gas station, we got our gas here 2 times. It is nice that they offer a place for people to sit who are travelling. We are on motorcycles and look for places like this for fellow bikers. It is nice to have a place to sit grab a cold drink, and a snack.

The only problem was the really, really bad mess filth on the one stall floor in the women's bathroom. On the way back home it was much cleaner.

The parking around this place is easy for large vehicles and small to get around. So that is nice for campers and trucks and buses as well as us, little bikers!

Room Tip: Can not comment on some of this as we only ate, relaxed for awhile, got some gas and carried on our...
