My family and I stayed there last Saturday for the Sioux game...I found the hotel to be equal in price versus amendments....meaning you get exactly what you pay for.....Room was on the older side but large and clean...they allow pets with outside entry rooms. Price was in line and the front desk was friendly...I would stay again..

Perfect for people with a dog. Outside entrance and nice neighborhood to walk the dog. Room was very clean and comfortable. Plus the price was very reasonable, especially for the oil booming North Dakota which seems to over charge for all their rooms due to transient workers needing places to stay. This was the cheapest and cleanest hotel we found on our way to and from Glacial National Park. Highly recommend.

Stayed at the Econo one night and booked the room knowing I would not be there except for sleeping and this is the only reason to stay. The motel is very basic and small. The lower rooms have doors that face the outside, so if recommend the top floor if you prefer a little more privacy. Ok place to stay if you want cheap and a bed for the night.

We stayed here after being stuck without a place to live after our recent move to Grand Forks. We had previously been at the Super 8 next door but switched to the Econo Lodge because they had cheaper rates for the weekend. The front desk staff was friendly during our stay.

The room was a good size, more spacious than what we had at Super 8 that we were sharing with our cat. The beds were a bit lumpy and uncomfortable. We didn't have to use the air conditioner each day, but the couple times we did use it, the musty smell coming from it was unpleasant. We tried to use the fan option on our last night, and I had to get up shortly after going to bed because the entire room smelled like a musty basement. Switching it to the air option made it a lot less musty smelling but still enough to have the smell sink into all our belongings. Other than the beds, the room was a lot more comfortable than our previous hotel stays in the moving process.

We were also glad to see a guest laundry. After living out of a suitcase for a week and having to dig new clothes out of the moving truck for quite a few days, it was very nice to be able to wash our clothes. Other than finding a cigarette butt in the washer...thankfully before we put anything inside.

This place is gross! A throwback to the 70's and the bed spreads looked like they had seen better days. The beds were old and rickety, very old and clearly the matresses have never been replaced in over 30 years. All three of the chairs in our room were torn and covered in stains-disgusting! The carpet in our suite was dirty and covered in all sorts of stains-God knows from what! The air in the room was stale, and whenever we turned on the air conditioner, a weird smell filled the room. We brought small dog along and he kept scratching at the carpet-clearly sensing "something" that was there. We have stayed in many Hotels that are pet friendly and all have been excellent, This is the first "pet friendly" hotel that is not even fit for a barnyard animal, let alone a domesticated animal. The young guy at the front was not welcoming at all and was annoyed with my kids when they asked for change to use the vending machine. He was quick to get rid of us as he was busy listening to his headphones when we checked in. Awul, just awful! And for the price-awful! I will never stay at this place again and do not recommend it to any young family.

We stayed at a few Econo Lodges on this vacation and the chain has improved noticeably over the last few years. Check in was fast and friendly, the rate was good, and the hotel looked fine from the outside; it's among offices and residential buildings not far from the University campus.

The back door was blocked open by a rock, but there was always a smoker on guard so I felt safe leaving it there. The hallways and room were cool with the A/C running on a very humid day following an apparent rainstorm. There was an inner and outer window- one was open and the other closed and fogged up. Furnishings were in good condition. The showerhead was very high and water got past the curtain somehow and flooded the floor, but I couldn't figure out how.

Everyone was quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was minimal: bread products, coffee and juice. If Econo Lodge expands their breakfast selection they would be my preferred hotel in this market segment over Super 8.

This was an inexpensive room, but it was very clean, which is so important. Our room had two queen beds, and we always travel with a fan, so outside noise was not an issue. Shower worked fine, continental breakfast was basic, but decent. Microwave, mini-fridge, blowdryer, ironing board and iron, free wi-fi, HBO. Everything worked, and I felt it was a good deal for the low price. I believe the rooms have recently been updated. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I think being on the second floor helps with noise. You don't have people stomping around above...
