this place should go back to being a best western. the front desk people a not all that freindly. as with a lot of hotels they say a full size bed is a queen when it is not a queen we have a real queen size. the parking lot is in need of more lights. it also needs an elevator I will go back at a later date to see if things get changed as i always do i will let you know after i have done this. also it is not easy to get at as it is almost right at the bottom of a brige on a very bizzy street

WE WILL TTYL ALL LATER

Great place to stay - the rooms are very clean, the pool area is fantastic. There's a large pool, a whirlpool, video games tucked away, a little miniature golf course. AND, it's within walking distance to town. It has some pet-friendly rooms and there is a wonderful grassy lot next door to walk your pet. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed here on our quick trip to Grand Forks because others had recommended it to us because it was so reasonably priced. This was very true AND it was clean! Is it a 5-star hotel? No. BUT the room was clean, quiet, and up-to date AND check in/out was great, very helpful staff and it was a quick process.

Recently stayed at this property with friends and their families for a 2nd year in a row and it remains a great value option for a hotel in Grand Forks that has a courtyard with poolside rooms. Yes, the property is older, and it doesn't include a breakfast but it it does have a comfortable courtyard with a decent pool and a good amount of tables in the courtyard that make for visiting with family/friends etc. very enjoyable. Some rooms in our party weren't cleaned the next day until contacting the front desk which is strange and the evening desk manager did ask us to leave the courtyard around 11:00 one night, but that's better then a 10 p.m. lights out - everyone out of the courtyard treatment (C'Mon Inn). Apparently the property is under new management tied in with the Sleep Inn chain so we'll see what future reviewers have to say. All in all, it's a good option. Could the place use some work and some sprucing up? for sure. With new hotels going up in Grand Forks, the GuestHouse certainly needs to be updating bedding, TV's, security etc. and they could remain a great value option. One other thing, in the courtyard they have a small mini-golf course which I think they should remove and replace with one more or several more hot tubs.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have fridges or microwaves. Be sure to ask.

My wife and I recently stayed over in Grand Forks and needed a cheap but clean place to stay. I used Hotwire to get the cheap rate on this hotel. Rooms were adequate but with thin walls, listened to a guy cough in his room during the night. It was advertised with "free breakfast" but only paid breakfast was available in the restaurant. Asthetically the pool area with waterfall and patio area is quite nice but we did not use it. We did eat a late night snack in the bar/lounge which had numerous big screen tv's to watch the hockey game on while we eat. Not a place I would pick out to stay is but okay if that is what is available for a night.

The hotel did not have a laundry facility. No continental breakfast. The pool was closed for renovation. The airconditioning unit was very noisy. The hotel did have a lil resturant if you wanted to eat. We did have breakfast and the food was good.
