“Not Recommended - Attention to Details (or NOT) tells a lot about management.”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

After reading the reviews we thought that we would have a good "Quality" experience here - Not.
The motel is packed in a large group (5 or 6?) of other motel building and they all look run down and reminded me of "the projects" for motels. Our room had definitely had a smoker in it with no attempt by housekeeping to air-it-out. Bummer. Yes, we requested a no smoking room and the door of the room said “No Smoking”. When asked the front desk about a change we were told that there was no other similar room available... just open the windows. The room was fairly clean but the bathroom had broken floor tiles (looks like they has been broken for a while) and the shower control cover was missing (see photos). Attention to details (ie. broken tile, etc.) can tell you if the management cares or not; this one evidently doesn’t. I mistakenly said to my wife that we needed to “cowboy up and move on the next morning”. She directly said, “Look, I am not a cowboy or cowgirl”. Not recommended.

We spent a night at the Quality Inn, Fargo, ND September 9, 2012. The room (number 101) was large with a King-size bed, a large drawer chest, a fridge, and a desk. There was also a coffeemaker but no Microwave. The A/C worked well and was not as noisy as in some other hotels we were. The mattress was firm and comfortable. It didn’t leave us with a backache when we got up in the morning, which happened to us in other hotels. The pillows were soft, yet firm. Everything was nice and quiet. We slept well.
The bathroom felt a bit cramped, but everything looked new and worked.
One nice thing worth mentioning other travelers might find helpful: The water in the shower was extremely soft.
For breakfast they served scrambled and boiled eggs, waffles, bacon, toast, orange juice, and yogurt. Even apples and oranges.
The owner was very friendly and we would go back there.

This motel is an outstanding value. Very nice room, clean, very comfortable bed, good A/C. The microwave and fridge worked fine. The manager was friendly. Nice swimming pool, above average breakfast, plenty of ice. This was the nicest motel (and one of the least expensive) on a two week trip.

We stayed at the Quality Inn August 30th to September 2nd travelling as two couples. One room was a king size and had a mini fridge while the other was a double queen and had no mini fridge. A few positives to start: the room was clean and comfortable and rooms were spacious.

Upon check in, a poor first impression was left. Although the manager seemed friendly, check in was disorganized and the manager had cleaning staff running to each room to make sure they were clean before booking us in. The process took about 15 minutes total. We also asked about the possibility of upgrading the second room to a king as there was only 1 king at the time of booking, and were told that this was not a possibility as the hotel was full. The manager more of less put her foot in mouth when booking her in as she found a clean king room that was not earmarked for the weekend yet still would not upgrade our second room.

Although the manager was friendly, most of the time she was seen out smoking and conversing with staff. One concern we had was the pool, as the chlorination levels were so out of whack it gave one member of our party an asthma attack. The rest of us were left with breathing difficulties and irritated skin after a 1/2 hour dip in the hot tub. The hot tub was also luke warm. When we expressed our concerns to the manager she seemed very nonchalant and explained that it was an ongoing difficulty. We did not use the pool or hot tub our last two nights due to the hot tub temperature and chlorination levels; quite a disappointment given that we booked this hotel for the pool.

Breakfast was good, consistently stocked and a hot item was served every morning. As mentioned the hotel was clean and comfortable although bedspreads could use updating. Overall, this hotel is a fairly good hotel for the price you pay. Definitely has room for improvement. I believe a change in management could possibly turn this hotel into a gem in Fargo. But until then, expect an average stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room with a mini fridge

I through fargo a lot for business and sometimes I bring my family. Every time I have to stay in Fargo, I always stay here. This is a great hotel and they have a lot of great amenities for myself and my family. Everything about this hotel was great and I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed May 20th and for overall value, not a bad little motel.

We stayed in room 129, which was next door to the pool and right down the hall from the lobby. The beds were certainly comfortable, and the room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It also had a couch and table, which would be handy for a lengthier stay. It was laid out a little odd - the TV was not centered between the 2 beds, but I imagine it was because of the coach on one side of the room. With a configuration like that, the TV needs to be on a table style AV center and not an armoire type cabinet - the viewing angles from 1 bed and the couch are obstructed by the sides of the cabinet. The channel selection was good, including HBO.

Being next to the pool, we did have to call when some kids were well past the pool hours and a little loud, but the staff handled it promptly and thoroughly - much appreciated.

The continental breakfast was good, but coffee was hard to find. The pots in the lobby and the breakfast room were routinely empty. Could have been a lot of coffee fiends that morning, but that is a staple of travel - gotta have those pots full guys. Other than that - it was a good breakfast.

The motel is very conveniently located near a nice mall and other shopping, as well as a host of restaurants. Also near the interstate (I-29), but not so close that there was traffic noise.

All in all, a decent stay at a fair price - we would probably return here.

Room Tip: Room 129, 128, 127 are near the pool - great for kids, bad for an early night to bed.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms vary I quality, I have stayed here several times as my son is a college student in the area. Breakfast is standard, coffee water and juice avail.all day. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel that is safe and comfortable this is it.

Room Tip: Ask for a recently remodeled room with fridge.
