Owner description: Located just off I-29 interstate, The Fargo Air Museum is an easily accessed pet friendly, must-stop location. North Dakota's premiere aviation destination, the Fargo Air Museum's dual hangars are home to aircraft of all eras - from a modern unmanned reconnaissance drone to the "most accurate recreation of a Wright Brothers' flyer the Smithsonian Institute has ever seen." A "flying" museum, many of the airplanes occasionally take to the sky, a unique feature not found in the vast majority of the nation's static-display air museums. More than just a simple place to display its many aircraft, military memorabilia and exhibits, the Fargo Air Museum also houses one of the midwest's largest Aviation libraries. In addition, the museum hosts educational day-camps, speakers and seminars for flight fans of all ages to enjoy. The Fargo Air Museum is a fantastic choice for a unique venue for corporate & private events and has quickly become a local favorite for hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions. Please email for event rental information. Located across the street from the Fargodome, the museum is also surrounded with dining opportunities and is conveniently just moments away from the Fargo's Hector International Airport.

If you have any interest in airplanes or you kids love planes this is the place for them. Anyone with aviation interest will find what you're looking for here. Located near Hector Field Airport, the Air Museum is a history of aviation with a large variety of really cool planes to look at up close. Even when it's busy you have plenty of freedom to walk around and take your time to take everything in. If you have never been there I highly recomend you check it out!

This museum is small but very enjoyable. Inexpensive admission. Some great planes inside from Viet Nam era. One helicopter happened to be one my husband flew during Viet Nam 'war'. Nice display of dog tags of all who have died in Gulf/Afghanistan War.

An outstanding couple of hours that was otherwise unplanned on our trip, and am I glad we set aside a couple of hours. Outstanding restorations, and delightful layout for a small local museum.

I've been to many air museums and I have to say this one is a small museum with a difference. A lot of their exhibits are airworthy (Flying) aircrafts. They keep changing the planes. Every year there's new additions.

You wouldn't need hours to go through the museum because it's all i one hangar. But the displays are very well organized. There's also a Flight Simulator for kids (Adults can get in it too).

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Another thing I appreciate about this museum a lot is the fact that they have a lot of activities and programs for youth and kids. Most museums do a good job of displaying the history. This one engages people, keeps the fire burning.

The hangar is well lit with plenty of natural light.

A must see on your trips to Fargo. Enjoy.
Pay your homage.
