My son will start his Sophomore year in a couple weeks. He lived in Sevrinson Hall his Freshman year. This year he is rooming with a friend in an on-campus apartment (Bison Court). He loves NDSU. He toured much larger and much smaller campuses and this one just "fit" for him. North Dakota is flat and cold. We live in Minnesota, but my son actually wore a hat one day in the winter and said it is much colder because of the wind. Keep in mind that he wears shorts year round in Minnesota! The cold didn't bother him, he had a great freshman year. His favorite thing is the food plan allowing him unlimited food in any dining center on campus. With this being the first child we sent away to college, its been a great experience for the whole family.

As a former PhD student and now employee, I love this place. For life-long learners, the culture and community of the campus is sublime. There is always some interesting lecture--open to the public--to attend, or theatrical performance, or musical event, or sporting event, or some new book acquisitions to check out in the comfort of the library . . . NDSU is a rich community within our city community, within the state community, with national and international ties.

Attended a wedding in the chapel on the grounds of the university. The wedding in itself was gorgeous but it was hot in the chapel. Too bad they could not bring in fans or air conditioners. Probably because it is old but austere.
