Many years ago, I had the pleasure of traveling to India and visiting in many ordinary homes where I was served lovely, home made Indian food. Later on, in London, I was able to reproduce that experience to some extent in the many Indian restaurants one can find there. In the U.S. it's been quite different, however. The food in almost all Indian restaurants I've been to here has been overpriced, prepared without any real expertise, and served in restaurants that always seem to have either a staffing, decor or bathroom hygiene issue. Imagine my surprise and delight to find Passage to India. Who would have thought Fargo could have a place so clean, so friendly and attentive, and with food that is steaming hot, authentic and well prepared!
