I almost always stay here on business--the front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent--highly recommended!

The on-site bar has a great selection of beverages, and theree is also gambling on site if you have the urge.

Room Tip: Ask for the back tower rooms.

we had a conference at the civic center and our rooms were arranged before our arrival. first thing we noticed.....3 small dead bugs on the bathroom floor. we inspected the beds and they were fine, then the floor. Oh, my, goodness....we gathered up a couple dozen items (clipped nails, fuzz, hair, ???? unidentifiable objects). we took them to the office in the morning and the girl was very friendly and sorry. she applied a credit for $20. if it had NOT been a company trip I would have requested another room. on an UPnote....great beds and great airconditioner.

Room Tip: get an upper room and one away from the pool (very noisy)

I have stayed at this hotel all my life and it never disappoints. The reason to stay here is the pool area. This is an old-school Holiday Inn that has a Holidome. It has a pirate theme swim area. There are a couple slides for smaller children. Adults will like that there is concession stand selling drinks, etc. right in the pool area. We had a large group of family staying at the hotel. We all spread out in the lounge area by the pool at the tables and had plenty of room. There is also a bar in the hotel, if that is your thing. We didn't go in there this trip so I can't give any review of the bar. The hotel is right across the road from the mall with shopping all around. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom showing its age.

Room Tip: It is worth the extra money to get a poolside first floor room if you plan on using the pool a lot a...

We stayed here mainly because of the pirate ship pool. Our children loved it and still ask to go back. The staff was friendly. At the front lobby, there is a table with refreshments and fruit among arrival and during stay. The pool was neat. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant had good food also.

I'm glad your children loved our newly remodeled Shipwreck Bay Water Playland. We've received a great deal of feedback from kids saying they love the slides and the pirate characters on the ammenities. We hope you listen to your children and come back soon. We appreciate the business. Sincerely, Shawn Hagen ~ Assistant General Manager

Spent four nights here in July for family reunion. Room was nice but with very slight odor. Nice furniture, TV, and linnens. A great large indoor pool for the kids, but room had strong chlorine smell, and was pretty warm in the afternoon. Plenty of tables and chairs and a bar with friendly staff. They did have some rules that seemed odd to me about where you could buy a drink and where you could take it. Very tight security. Did not eat in the restrant but it looked nice.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review regarding your stay at our hotel. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. I wish I knew what room you stayed in regarding the chlorine smell. I would assume it is a poolside or poolview room and certainly because of the immediate location to the pool, there is normally going to be a chlorine odor to that area. I wish you could have tried our restaurant, we serve Certified Angus Steaks and a huge assortment of other specialties. Hopefully on the next trip you will take advantage of our restaurant. Thanks again, Shawn Hagen ~ Assistant General Manager

New swimming pool with a pirate theme for the kids. The thing is the rest of it could have used updating too. The railing to get into the pool was very loose. The hot tub was miniscule. The security was very much in evidence. I wonder why so many were necessary. The room was clean, eveerything needed was there. It was also a quiet room, being inside the compound.

Thank you so much for being a guest of our hotel. You were here on the opening weekend of our newly renovated Shipwreck Bay Water Playland pool area. As with every new opening, there was just a few things we found that we wanted to correct. The first is the railing that was a little loose. We have ordered and will be installing the new railing shortly so that will be corrected. With the weekend being NDSU graduation weekend, we made sure to have additional security in the pool area just to keep things running smoothly. We are glad you had a nice stay and liked the clean rooms. We thank you again and look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Shawn Hagen ~ Assistant General Manager
