Hotel s under construction. Room had crappy view of roof and a/c units. In room A/C unit was extremely loud. Sleep number bed was a nice touch. Room decor was cute and modern. Staff was friendly. Shower had good water pressure and heat, although some of the tile seemed grimy. Free parking and free wifi. Would stay again.

Returned to Bismarck Radisson to find that the updating is nearing completion. Stayed twice over a 5-day span and spoke briefly with one of the construction bosses who informed me that the expected completion is in the vicinity of 3/1.

Both visits resulted in updated rooms and, while not opulent, they are quite comfortable with sleep number beds, nicely refreshed baths and doors on the closets. The "Business" option delivers one of these updated rooms, breakfast included and perhaps a free drink of two in the bar.

The parking garage elevator (run by the city, not the Radisson) continues to be a source of amusement. The control panel (photo included in this review) is coded such that the floor/level designations bear no resemblance to the actual floors/levels. It is city government at its typical incompetence....no simple numbering system, but meaningless letter designations.

To the hotel's credit, construction work though ongoing, was zero impact on both my stays. No noise, no hallway mess, almost no dust. The hotel is trying hard, the front desk staff is typical upper-Midwest friendly and the location is convenient to the capital and to the Toasted Frog, Peacock Alley and Blarney Stone.

Room Tip: Request a room on the side that does not face the railroad tracks. Trains rumble through at all hou...

AIf you are looking for a good value, look no further. The Radisson is a good value. You will find Reasonable rates, clean and well maintained the hotel throughout This is a "no surprise" hotel. Usually something needs attention in a popular priced hotel. Not this one. The hallways were quiet. Good stay.

If you like the big 'downtown' full-service hotel, this is the place. Nice big professional lobby, a full service restaurant and lounge. A concierge if you need one. The rooms are your typical downtown 60's/70's build...a bit cramped by today’s standards especially once you stuff a king bed in. But they keep the rooms in overall good condition and I have no complaints over cleanliness. They offer the sleep number bed so you can adjust as needed. No fridge or microwave..but flat screen TV’s with a very good line up. The offer a parking garage (which seems to always have the full sign lit to probably discourage non-hotel parking...but we’re not talking a bustling downtown so they'd probably be better off to just call it 'hotel parking only'). It’s a paid garage but free for hotel guests. So it’s a good stay and if you need access to downtown or the medical center its convenient.

I stayed at this hotel while on a road trip through Montana and North Dakota. It was easy to find and check-in was quick. My room was okay, but you can tell that this is an old hotel that is trying to update and renovate. Most of the room was nice, though there were a few areas that could have used some paint and upkeep. Wireless internet and parking were free. There was a nice pool area with a pool, hot tub, and games area. The hot tub was heavenly to sit in, though could use a little tlc. There was a free business center with 2 computers and a printer. Room service from the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. One of my major problems was with the noise. The soundproofing definitely needs some updating. I could hear everything that was happening in the hallway as though it was in my room. As well, my room faced the rail tracks and again sounded like it was in my room. Plus the trains run quite frequently through the area. My second major issue is with the Sleep-Number beds that Radisson uses. I don't find them comfortable despite several adjustments of the remote. i would recommend trying to get a room without them if possible. The price was reasonable at $116/night, but the upgrades should include these areas if they want to represent the Radisson name. I would still recommend this hotel for both business travelers and families, but check the price first as I wouldn't pay anything more that what I did.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that doesn't face the rail tracks!!

In all of Bismarck, this is located in down town smack in the middle of everything that is going on. The Hotel, is Clean, well laid out, good food Service is outstanding but one neg thing is the air number beds leak air and the pump keeps turning on waking you during your sleep...I have stayed at this locations maybe 6 nights this year and the same thing in every room....i would get rid of the sleep number system...

Stayed there for three nights for medical reasons. We received a discounted rate because of this. Request a room away from the train tracks. Rooms are clean, but small. Location is great. We have stayed in hotels all across the US and I have to say, the Radisson has the best customer service I have seen. Every staff member was friendly and courteous. The shuttle driver, Roberto, is the shining star of of this hotel. He is genuine, caring, and entertaining. He goes above and beyond and always left us with smiles on our faces. He went out of his way, more than once, for us, and we looked forward to seeing his smiling face every day. Any manager would be proud of a staff as good as the Radisson's.
