“Nice place Great Staff”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Drove to the state fair this past July and stayed here. The room was always clean and the beds were comfy. All of the staff were very kind and considerate. As usual they had a nice fresh hot breakfast which was always very well stocked. I needed to check out earlier than my reservation was booked for due to the violence that personally happened to me at the fair, the staff was very understanding and accommodating to me! I will never voluntarily travel to North Dakota again but if i had to I would certainly stay here.

For the most part, this Hampton Inn is very nice, standard business fare like all the others. Be careful to not get assigned to a room over the front door. The automatic door opening and closing kept me up all night. Also, there were no newspapers in the morning delivered to the rooms. Management needs some fine tuning.

Thank you for your response regarding the accessible room over the front doors. We occassionally have concerns about the doors. Unfortunately, while we are full every night it is necessary to sell that room also. Front desk is supposed to address that with the guest if it should be the last room to sell. If they did not do that for you, my sincerely apologies. We also have ear plugs that help if people are light sleepers in that room.
As far as the news papers go, I show all papers were delivered that morning. The USA Today is in the kiosk in the lobby as we do not get that newspaper early enough in the am for delivery to the rooms. We deliver the Bismarck Tribune early and the USA is in the lobby after 7am so in reality we have two newspapers for our guests.
We hope that you will come back and give us another chance.

Great hotel, quiet big rooms that are very comfortable. Breakfast is hot and well stocked, thats always a plus in my book. The problem I have with this property is that like most hotels in North Dakota (due to the oil boom), rooms are over priced by at least $35 a night. This hotel, unlike most hilton hotels also doesnt offer a AAA/CAA discount.

As I said, the hotel was great - but the fact that you can do the same at a better rate will probably make me reconsider staying here.

Thank you for your review. We are so glad you had a restful stay with us. We do all we can to create a great experience for each of our guests. Our efforts include actively looking for ways to keep costs low and offer enhanced services for comfort and convenience. I appreciate your review as it provides valuable feedback . We are sorry that we could not accomodate you with the AAA/CAA rate that you requested on the night that you did stay. We do offer those rates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The next time you are in the area, please consider staying with us at the Hampton Inn again.

All the hotels in the area had pretty much the same rate, at the time we needed, so we drew straws and ended up here. Very glad we did! Room was clean and beds were comfy. The hotel in general seemed newer and clean. location was good, near alot of restaurants and stores. but not so close as to be noisy. the included breakfast was decent, kinda standard fare for these types, but I think there was a bit larger selection than other places I've been. they also had a 'breakfast to go', bagged option if you were in a rush!
We did not use pool, but noticed they had pool toys for kids, if wanted. seems like a thoughtful idea!
we really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful warm pool, the best on our entire trip. Breakfast was good, but we missed the strawberries and cream on the waffles like they have at the Homewood suites. We stayed the same time as a swim team and never heard a thing but the parents/coaches were drinking beer in the lobby and pool area,I'm not sure if there are rules or whatever but I've ran into this before and they don't allow it in Montana but different states different rules I guess.

Stayed over before driving into Williston, ND the following morning. Little expensive for what you get, but that seems to be the normal for this part of the world. Room was clean and comfortable. Will return if Im in the area again.
