“Beautiful green grounds, and a large office building”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The ND capitol building is the tallest building in North Dakota... which is not a big measure. This capitol building is also unique in the sense that it is the only U.S. state capitol building that is an office building. Nothing special to really see here, but if you are in Bismarck, it is worth checking out and in the summer walk around the beautiful green grounds.

“State services centralized”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

The capital building is very different than most states. In Bismark like most capitol cities the capitol is easy to find. North Dakota's capital looks like a modernistic type sky scraper. There is no dome and it doesn't show the Western expansion historical side of the state. It is well kept and a nice building. I ceratinly do enjoy that most of the state's service agencies and departments are surrounding the capital and make it nice as a centralized service for finding those you ned to speak with. As far as being a "MOST BEAUTIFUL" not so much....but the capital building is still prettier than Lincoln, NE.

Everything is readily accessible . Access to the House and Senate chambers. Hall of Fame in the basement. Check out the monkey-wood doors on the main gallery level

Has a grand Great Hall, and it's the tallest building in ND. Beautifully kept grounds, local gathering place.

“Great Tour”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great tour of the State Capitol. The guide was very knowlegable, and was very helpful with some questions posed by my Aunt, who happens to be a history buff.
