“Worth a stop”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

The North Dakota capitol is an interesting building, particularly since it is so much taller than anything else in Bismarck. It's definitely worth walking across the street from the excellent ND Heritage Center to take a look.

“Great informative tour”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

Took 10 and 12 year old daughters....the building is quite impressive inside. The tour guide was very knowledgable and very accomodating.

“Skyscraper on the prairie”

I always enjoy a chance to be in the state capitol building. I love its official and stately areas especially. Only one thing I'd like to see changed: Improved usage of the formal front doors.

“Worth a visit while in Bismarck”

Best to go on a guided tour as the details they provide will enrich your experience. Be sure to check out the Rough Rider Award gallery on the ground floor.

“Worth it for the view”
Reviewed August 17, 2011

You can do a free guided tour (7 days a week), but we had got there at the wrong time so started doing the self guided tour. You get great views from the 18th floor observation gallery. As we were leaving the guided tour had just finished so the guide very kindly took us and showed us the bits of the building we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. She was also very informative and gave us lots of information.
