Interesting to learn of the history of North Dakota. My elderly father really enjoyed it, but for the young and middle aged it was just OK

This was a free exhibit and was interesting for our twelve year old and seventy year old a like. The french railroad car was something that we had never heard of and are dumbfounded that we have not learned anything about this in the past. What an amazing piece of history.

I thoroughly enjoyed the history exhibits, discussing the western expansion, settling, statehood wrangling, politics, etc. My husband, a paleontology buff, loved the fossil exhibits. Something for everyone! One kid stayed with the fossils, one kid came with me and read about the history. We arrived in Bismarck earlier than expected for our overnight stay, and this was just down the road. So we visited, and we're so glad we did!

Pros: Contained some neat fossils and many interesting stories about life on the plains.

Cons: Long, disarray of exhibits sometimes confusing what to read next. Signs for fossils were in a numbered book that took awhile to find the explantions.
