Love "winter beach" in Wrightsville, NC. No crowds...anywhere ! Stopped here for a nice lunch, and a great view. Neither disappointed. The tuna lunch, $12 special, was just awesome and a full meal in itself ! Ordered it rare, b/c it was top grade. Asian fresh veggies w/sticky rice. Awesome! Again ! Went back for dinner and had their special - $17, (tuna upgrade $2 extra), included appetizer, entree, and delicious dessert. (Hours like 4-6pm) We got the award winning clam chowder soup, hearty, and full of clams. Our tuna was perfect. except this dish wasabi drizzled on top. Not too spicy, though. For dessert with this special, we ordered the Key lime pie, which actually was a very generous slice. Very light, and it was more like a mousse, in texture. Bottle of Chenin Blanc was half price. Total....drum roll....$57 +tip. Atmosphere was just what we wanted, with the bridge opening, and three huge sail boats passed through at 6pm. Instigated a conversation of what we want to do next. Had another dinner at a local restaurant, the Oceanic.....no comparrison....at all. PS There is some work being done on the bridge, but if you are traveling toward the ocean, turn right, two lights before the bridge, and arrive at The BridgetTender from the back. This way, you won't be stuck in any construction traffic. If you are coming from the beach toward town, you can't avoid a small gridlock. Sorry : (
